Sting POV

"Hey, Rouge?" I asked, watching him as he lifted Lucy and took her into the other room so she could sleep.
He turned to look at me, his eyes soft and caring "Yeah?" He whispered as not to wake the sleeping child.
"I don't want to take he back to Fairy Tail..." I murmered, running a hand through my hair.
Rouge sighed, clearly not wanting to take her back either, I mean, four year olds are the funniest people you'll ever meet. He kept walking and put her to bed, returning a few minutes later.
"Yeah, well," he sighed "we have to, so, that's that." He said, his tone changing from calm to something more sinister.
"Why can't we just keep her? It's not like they'd want her back if she's like this!" I called, my heart throbbing.
"You know as well as I do that we can't keep her, Sting! Fairy Tail are probably worried sick!" He shouted back, quickly altering the volume of his voice when he realised how loud he was shouting.
"We need to get her to Fairy Tail anyway! They would probably know how to get her back to normal, or, at least they'd be able to find out!"
"What if we don't change her back?" I whispered, aware that Rouge would lash out at me.
He sighed and sat on the couch next to me, his head in his hands.
"I don't know, Sting." He looked up. "We need to change her back. Who knows what'll happen if we don't!"

I nodded slowly, still considering the possibilities.
Rouge glared at me, aware that I was still thinking about not changing her back. "Sting," he said, his tone meaningful and caring. "We can't keep her, we aren't going to keep her and we have to change her back. You got that?!" He continued, his tone becoming more firm with every word uttered.
I looked up, tears threatening to spill from my eyes and walked out the door, my breath a puff against the cold night air.

Natsu POV

I can't believe I lost her like that. It is my job to protect my nakama and I failed. I lost her. I lost Lucy.
I curled up in my bed, unable to sleep. When would the morning come? When dawn comes, the whole guild is going out to search for Lucy. We have to find her.
