December

*Louis' POV*

"How is it possible that this is the same woman that I met ten years ago today?" I ask while recording Katie with my phone.

"Louis, stop recording me!" she whines.

"Make me!"

"You're lucky I'm pregnant, otherwise I'd try to tackle you!"

"Note how you had to say 'try.' Anyhow, as I was saying, no way this is the same woman I met ten years ago."

"Well it is!"

"I knkow you are! Well, that day I knew I'd met a girl who was special. Of course what I didn't know wast that I'd be married to her someday or that she'd be the mother of my children. And she may second-guess herself about it, but she is a wonderful mother to Jordan and will be an equally wonderful mother to the baby."

"Louis!"

"Katie!"

She walks up to me and steals my phone from my hands and records me. "And this lovely man right here is the loser that I married. Who also got me pregnant, twice."

She puts the phone back in my hand. "You complaining, babe?"

"No. I was just stating the obvious. You're the loser who I love that I married and got me pregnant twice!"

"Okay. Well, it's kind of interesting that I still remember the first thing she ever said to me."

"No, it's interesting how we met. I mean, you didn't have to return to Doncaster for Chirstmas that year."

"I know I didn't, but I wanted to.

And the reason to that was because my original plans fell apart when my last relationship before Katie ended.

FLASHBACK

"Louis, it's over!" Eleanor screams at me after the third screaming match in 24 hours.

"W-why?" I whisper.

"I can't take being away from you so much! It's too much for me and I know it's too much for you! Don't bother denying it either! I know that Liam and Dani and Zayn and Perrie make it work, but keep in mind that for Zayn and Perrie especially it's a two-way street."

"Leave them out of this!"

"Okay, fine whatever. But it's just not that. We're always fighting anymore! Everything turns into a screaming match."

"You cheated on me, didn't you?"

"He kissed me first! I told him that I needed time to think about things first."

"Which was really code for 'I need to breakup with my current boyfriend first.'"

"I'm so sorry!"

"You know what? J-just leave! Gather your things and get out of my flat!"

She quickly gathers what she had here.

"Have a nice life, Louis." she says coldly.

"Oh, I will." I tell her with ice in my voice.

She gives me a disguted look and walks out. Out of my flat and out of my life. For good."

END OF FLASHBACK

"Louis!" Katie says snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"What?" I ask.

"You were zoning out."

"Oh, just lost in my thoughts."

"You sure that's it?"

"Positive."

"If you say so."

"And that, is why I fell for Kaitlyn Marie Tomlinson. There's no way she's the same woman I met ten years ago, she's way to beautiful to be her."

I stop filming and Katie looks slightly upset.

"Are you saying I wasn't beautiful when we met?"

"No! I would never say that. I'm just saying that you've gotten so much more beautiful since then."

"Even though I have a huge stomach?"

"You're pregnant, of course your stomach is going to be huge."

*Katie's POV*

"So, what were you thinking about earlier?" I ask Louis as he hands me a mug of tea.

"Painful memories." he says.

"Painful memories?"

"Yeah. It's no big deal though."

I know it's most definitely not a big deal though. Far from it actually, but I decide not to push it.

I lay my head on his shoulder.

"I love you." he mumbles and kisses my forehead.

"I love you too." I whisper.

I remember the day he told me that for the first time.

How is possible that I friend-zoned this guy? I'll never know.

I start tracing shapes on my stomach and I feel the baby kick.

"You okay?" he asks me.

"The baby just kicked!" I tell him.

He puts his hand on my stomach and the baby kicks again, almost as if recognizinf his or her daddy's touch. "Whoa."

"I know!"

He stares into my blue eyes with his blue ones and I just remember why I did everything.

I friend-zoned him because even though I loved him, I thought he'd never date a girl four years younger than him. So I ignored all the feelings and all the signs. But I was so wrong. He didn't just fall for me. He fell hard for me, even though I am four years younger. Even though I'm closer in age to Lottie and he's closer in age to the youngest of my older brothers and sisters.

*Louis' POV*

"Go away, five more minutes." I mumble and swat at the air when somewhen launches onto the bed.

"Mummy, daddy, it's Cwistmas!" Jordan yells.

"Okay, we'll be down in a few." Katie says.

He gets off the bed and runs downstairs.

"What time is it?" I ask Katie.

"Quarter to six." she says.

"He let us sleep in this year."

"Yeah. 'Sleep in.'"

"Hey, let's just go downstairs and maybe he'll fall asleep early, letting us go to bed early."

"Jordan, fall asleep early? That's a pretty good one!"

"Never know."

"I know, I know."

"Then let's go downstairs and make sure the little troublemaker isn't getting into trouble." Ha, that's funny. My son not get into trouble. That's really funny.

AN

Pretty interesting how Louis and El broke up isn't it? Well, how I had Louis flashback to that day.

I know the chapter name is really crappy, but I couldn't think of anything better.

I love you my petite croissants.
