Chapter 11

Lia POV

After we were done eating, Anthony looked at the time and rose up from the table.

"Damn baby i gotta go Imma be late for work" he said getting up and walking to the back to put on his clothes.

I got up from the table and cleaned up the area. I washed half of the dishes before Lexi started crying.

*BOOM, CLANG, POW*

I peeked around the wall and Anthony was rushing out the door. Knocking down almost everything in his way. He barely closed the door and Lexi was just crying her head off.

I locked the door and picked up the things he knocked over. He's lucky he didn't break my vase. Lexi was still wining so I took her out her high chair and took her to her nursery room. I changed her diaper and put her in her walker. I went back to the kitchen and continued washing the dishes. 20 minutes later my phone rings. I grunted and answered it.

Me: Hello

Day Day: Hey Lia this is Day Day Anthony's friend um-

Me: ok I know who you are and what do you want I'm really busy right now.

Day Day: Anthony's in the hospital. He got into a major car accident involving 3 cars.

Me: Omg damn ok I'm on my way.

I stopped what I was doing and ran to my room to put on some clothes. I fixed up my hair and I was about to walk out the door until I totally forgot Lexi was in her walker. I grunted and took her out. I went to her nursery room and got her bag. I walked out the door locked it and went to my car.

I was rushing the whole ride there. I got out the car with Lexi and ran in the main entrance. I got on the elevator and it took me to the floor Anthony's room was on. I barged in and there he was.

Anthony had all these tubes and needles attached to him. It was blood everywhere.

"C-Can he talk" i asked Day Day

"Yea a little"

I looked around the room and noticed Rakir and Jaila wasn't there.

"Where's Rakir and Jail-"

"Umm in Oklahoma. I called both of their phones a thousand times and neither one of them answered" Tonio said

"Lia" i heard someone whisper

It was Anthony
"Yes Anthony I'm here" i held his hand looking at him. He had cuts and bruises everywhere across his face.

"Can i see- my baby girl?" he whispered

I took Lexi out her car seat and set her on the bed next to Anthony. He tried to smile and keep his eyes open.

"Baby- promise me- you'll be strong and brave- no matter what- happens" Anthony whispered.

"Baby i promise I'll do anything for you"

He nodded his head.

" I'm sorry- I didn't tell you I love you before- I rushed out the house. I'm sorry- I didn't give you a kiss. I'm- sorry. I'm sorry for rushing." he struggled to say

"Anthony its ok it wasn't your fault. We were just sitting down at the dinner table being a family we wasn't worried about the time."

"And that's all- I wanted. Was a- family" Anthony said

"I love you Anthony" i said kissing his lips and holding his hand to my heart

"I-love you t-"

*BEEEEEEEEEP*

"Nurse!" Day Day yelled running out the room

*boom*

Tonio had punched a hole in the wall.

"Man get it togeth-" Stephan said

"No man! Get off me! Get the fuck off me!" Tonio cried falling to his knees.

I didn't hear Lexi crying until Day Day picked her up and comforted her.

"Sshh its ok li mama" he paced around the room.

I sat in the same spot for about an hour. Not moving. Not blinking. I was just looking at blank space. I couldn't see the world around me. What really just happened?
