"Mom." Cole looked at me with sad eyes. "This can not be real? Bad dreams are not supposed to be real!" Cole cried hugging me tightly.
"I'm so sorry buddy." I said hugging him tighter. "I still love you very much."
"You do still love dad a little though don't you?" Cole asked.
"Yeah buddy." I said patting his hair down.
"I do."

Cole ran back upstairs to his room and I heard sobbing. I hate the fact that Calum has done these things. I'm not impressed with Calum at all. I'm sorry Calum all these things you've done have made me feel like you don't love me anymore.
It's been 12 years and I can't believe you have still done those things.
(Major time skip)
-Calums POV-
12 years. It's been 12 fucking years and I'm still in love with Sophie. Cole is 18 years old and I missed his whole life. I missed watching him grow up, I missed watching him play hockey games, I missed him. I missed them both. All because of that stupid girl I slept with 12 years ago!
"Calum?" I heard Luke call.
"What do you want?" I spat back harshly.
"Sophie just called and uh, we're heading back home." Luke said.
"W-what do you mean?" I stuttered looking him in the eye.
Michael came walking in and sat down. "Something at home has happened and since you haven't been calling even if someone doesn't pick up, she called us."
"What the fuck happened!?" I yelled.
"We're going home so you can find out." Michael replied. "We're not saying until we get there."
The while entire day was filled with packing, flying, listening to music and thinking. What could've happened that I needed to come home? I haven't been home in 12 years, why now?
We got in a cab as a man drove us all to our destination. I was nervous to see what has happened.
"Calum get up we're here." Ashton said shaking me.
I opened my eyes and we were at the hospital. My eyes grew wide and I ran inside. My worries started to grow and I couldn't stop moving. I looked to the left and saw a newspaper, as I picks it up I read the headline and threw it back. I ran to the front desk amd my jaw was clenched.
"Hello sir, how may I help you?" The woman asked.
"Cole Hoods room please." I said shaking.
"Are you family? If so who?" She asked tapping her pencil.
"Father." I said.
"I'm sorry Coles father is already in the room." The lady said with a confused look.
"Fuck." I mumbled. "I'm his actual father that's probably like some shitty step father please tell me where he is."
"ID?" She asked and I pulled out my wallet showing her that I am in fact Calum Hood. "Go to room 311 and get rid of that stupid step father please." She laughed.
I smiled and ran to the elevators heading for floor 3. As I got out of the elevator I ran towards room 11 and knocked. The door opened revealing a tall light haired man with stubble.
"Who the hell are you?" He asked.
"I'm the real father now move." I said pushing him out of the way.
I looked over at the bed and there was Cole. I stood there frozen, he was covered in blood, bruises, scratches, broken limbs, and I cried right then and there. I turned and saw sophie, she was crying but still managed to look beautiful.
"Sophie..." I said going over and kneeling in front of her.
"I'm leaving now." The tall man said. "I'm seeing you later."
"Never come back you fucking dick!" Sophie yelled. "I hate him." She cried pulling me close.
"Fuck, I have so many questions." I said pulling away and placing my hands on her thighs. "What happened to Cole? Who was that man? Why didn't you tell me about Cole right away?"
"Cole got in an accident, his friends were having a party and drank and crashed. That is my shitty friend who kept trying to date me, to get in here we called him a father, and I didn't even know right away." She rambled. "Im sorry Cal."
"I hate myself for not being here." I said grabbing her hand and heading over to Cole. I pushed the hair out of his face and leaned down to hug his limp body. Cole started to flinch and his eyes opened.
"Cole?" I whispered looking at him.
"Dad?" He squinted back. "You're back?"
"I am buddy." I said grabbing his hand.
"Mom?" Cole said reaching out. "Thank you for being here. Both of you."
"We love you Cole. Of course we would never leave, and we'd always be here." Sophie said.
"What's that noise?" Cole said flinching and attempting to cover his ears. "Is that what I think it is?"
"I'm sorry Cole, they told us you might not be able to make it." Sophie said sitting on the end of Coles bed.
"What?" Cole and I both said at the same time. "I don't wanna die!" Cole said as loud as he could grabbing me tighter.
"Neither do we Cole." I said. "We will try everything to keep you alive. And I'm never leaving this place until you are up and out of it."
"I love you guys." Cole said.
"We love you too Cole."
