"Taylor is that you?!" Harry yelled from upstairs. He ran down and crashed into Taylor, hugging her and kissing her cheeks.
"What are you doing?" Taylor asked, pushing Harry away from her. She figured he was probably upstairs in the guest bedroom, on his phone or watching movies. Harry being at her house was no surprise to her.
"I was waiting for you to come home so we could talk."
"Harry, go home." Taylor pushed past him and walked up the stairs.
"Stop telling me that! Stop expecting me to give up on you! I'm not going to do that." Harry flinched and turned around. Afraid he would act out, Taylor took a step back and took off her jacket.
"I don't know what's gotten into you, but I don't think it's necessary for you to just forget about our friendship."
"We aren't even friends! I mean, we are friends, but when did we ever agree to stay friends? You know just as well as I do that we forgot the reason we even became friends and why we stayed close. I don't think it's unfair of me to drift away when you obviously don't the feel the same way you used to."
"Are you serious? You're mad at me because I started dating after realizing you will never give me a chance?" He asked her.
The room fell silent.
"I'm so sorry for everything I've done until this point in our....whatever, that drove you away because I am so sorry. I loved you for so long and I thought maybe you'd feel the same. I thought you would be the love of my life and that we could spend the rest of our lives together. Excuse me for having such ideas."
"Stop it." Taylor was crying. She was crying because she was angry at Harry and her feelings towards him. She was upset that she had lost her job. She was upset that nothing was going her way anymore. She was sad that Harry didn't love her anymore. She was upset because she did love Harry. She loved him so deeply but she was angry and a little betrayed because he loves someone else.
"I love you, Taylor. I really do. I probably will never stop, but I can't pause my life because you aren't ready. I want my life to start and I want it to start with you. But, if you can't start with me, then I have to move on." Harry said, feeling tears prick the corners of his eyes.
"I understand." Taylor nodded, not looking up at him. She wiped a falling tear from her nose and sniffles, trying to regain control of her emotions.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be that girl you wanted that was ready to go wherever with you." Taylor nodded and sniffled once more before looking up at him and faking her best smile.
With a small smile back to Taylor, no other words being said, Harry turned on his heel and walked out of Taylor's home.
