My name is Maria Salvatino. I'm half black and yes, half Hispanic-Latina. I'm from Houston, Texas and I'm sixteen. Meaning I'm just now leaving tenth grade and starting eleventh soon. Did I mention I'm sixteen? My parents told me once I'm fifteen and in 10th grade I could date. (A lil late aren't I?) I'm considered sexy. Nice curves, toned slim legs, long hair (that is naturally curly), 5'6, light accent, parents who are financially successful and stable, the baby in the family of two, my big brother Darren being the first child, so I'm a bit spoiled but very humble. A's and B's student with a promising future. But I feel more beautiful than sexy. More comfortable being home in sweats and a tank top chilling with my brother, shopping with friends, hopping with guys in my neighborhood than long nights out partying, having millions of boyfriends before college, losing my virginity or being the it girl of the school. Maybe that's just how my family raised me of course I have my freedom my family treat me the same as my brother. We have absolute trust and I'm comfortable talking to my family about everything. That's how we've stayed so close together. My brother made his mistakes and our parents have made him serve his punishments but that just how we live life. As free as possible with little but strict boundaries and great rewards. Give a little gain a little is the quote for my family. But for some odd reason this summer feels different for me. But I suppose with the new adjustments in my life that I'll feel a little differently about things. Who knows. - Maria
BTW this is not a diary anyone can read it I prefer not but this a book of my life and I want to be able to read it and remember the little things when in old and gray and tell my children and family about these moments. These are my stories, memories, moments in life.

Adele - First LoveBe patient with me, this book in 2012-13. My younger self was excited to get her idea out there. The earlier chapters are short but the book picks up momentum quickly. I'll be editing soon.
