Chapter 25. Lovers

"Are you ready for the most awesomest day of your life Salvatino," Drew says confidently, with a smirk on his face.

"With who," I tease and he laughs.

"Me, of course. We're gonna have fun. Why? Because I planned the whole thing out," He ssays and I nod impressed.

"Okay Mr. Confident, we'll see how awesome and fun you are. I don't believe it quite yet so. . I hope this some of your best work and planning," I say as we get in the car.

"How's your week been going so far," Drew asks.

"Pretty good. I taught a few dance classes this week and I worked with the littles. They're so they have so much energy in their small, talented bodies, it makes working with them ten times easier and fun. We even did some freestyles for a bit," I smiled explaining my passion.

"I don't know how you manage to work with kids. They are loud, messy and stubborn," Drew cringe and I frown, I felt as though he just described teenagers or the whole damn world. That thought makes me smile.

"Yeah, they might be like that because you work at a dessert place, with lots of ice cream in little kids systems. But I do work with kids that have a passion for dance and learning new choreo so they are little professionals when it's time to be," I defend the kids.

"Okay. Mama Maria," Drew laughs and I nod my head.

"Dam right! Nobody mess with my little," I joke with him but I know, at least I hope he knows I'm serious about the kids.

"On a non-serious point, you're seriously not gonna tell me where we're going? Not even a hint," I playfully pout.

"Nope, so you're gonna have to be patient little dancer," He pokes me and I wiggle in my seat.

"Patience is a virtue," I mumble to myself and look out the window. I decide to rest up for the rest of the drive to wherever he was taking me.

"Wake up Maria. We're here," I hear Drew say excitedly and I groan.

"Clam down thumper," I say stretching.

"We'll see if you'll still be saying that after you open your eyes," He says and I feel his famous stupid smirk. I open my eyes and blink a few times.

"Oh my holy water park?! Schlitterbahn Water Park," I say reading the Galveston Island, Texas sign.

"But I don't have a swim suit," I pout sadly and Drew smiles.

"I already thought it all through. I told the parentals and your mom said she called your best friend, Daya, to help her pack you a little bag. Your bag is in my truck. I'm smart," He brags and I laugh.

"Yes, you are. Now are we getting out or are you gonna talk about yourself more," I tease him and he fakes a laugh.

"First one to the Bahnzai Pipeline has to buy the other one a slushy of their choice," I yell to him as we run towards the park and I hear him laugh.

"That's not even a crazy start off ride," He says wrapping his arm around my waist as we get to the short line.

"I know, it's a water warm-up," I shrug and he nods.

"But I don't think you'll ever truly warm up to the water," He nudges my shoulder and I nod.

"We must get on the Rohr! and the new ride, Screaming Serpents," He says and I nod.

"You're not one of those girls who are afraid of heights, right," He ask and I frown a little.

"Shouldn't you have asked that before we got here or before you bought tickets? Lucky I'm not and I love adrenaline, high thrill rides," I smirk with an attitude.
