Olivia Allen

Even though I wasn't by Niall's side when we arrived — he was with the boys and I was with Lou, Gemma, and Lottie — I still experienced the cameras flashing more intensely than ever before in my life. Niall and I had been papped before but only by a handful of people if word got out we were at a restaurant or something. This time there were so many photographers and it was very strange.

We went inside while the boys walked the red carpet. Lou wore a long black dress, Gemma had a short navy dress, and Lottie wore the red dress I tried on first.

There was honestly a lot of waiting around. We found our seats but many around us were empty because of the red carpet. The only other people there were other guests of those who are actually important.

"Are these fun?" I asked the girls.

"Kind of! You'll have to sit through a lot of boring performances but there's a lot of really good ones too."

"Yeah if I watch an awards show at home I just record it and fast forward the people I don't care about. Which honestly is a lot of them."

"The after party is a blast though."

In general, I'm not super into celebrities. Which sounds weird considering I love Niall and the band. But the boys are pretty down to earth. I can't stand celebrities who are so far up their own butts that they think we should care about their opinions. They will use something as insignificant as an awards show to preach their opinions and that annoys me.

But the boys are so grateful for everything they have and they don't abuse their fame. I respect that. Even before I met Niall, that's part of why I was such a big fan of them. Well that combined with their awesome music and how hot I've found Niall since day one.

Celebrities started filing into their seats. There were a few I got excited to see. I will admit that I was hoping to see Ed Sheeran again. I wonder if he remembers me because we met at Harry's birthday party over a year ago. Probably not but I would still be thrilled to see him.

I was also excited to see Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan. I'm a country music fan and I don't care what people say, it's quality music.

The show was pretty fun. I loved watching the boys perform and accept their award. They're cuties.

We went to the after party and it was definitely more fun. It was just a whole bunch of fun people drinking and dancing.

Niall stayed with me for the most part but we would drift apart periodically as old friends of his found him. Niall introduced me to people but there were times I just let him catch up with people and I went to wherever Gemma was.

I was wandering, searching for a drink, when I saw who Niall was talking to now. No fucking way. Ellie Goulding's hand was placed possessively on his shoulder and she was speaking very close to his ear.

I watched him kind of brush her off as I approached them. Neither of them had seen me yet.

"We were so good together," she told him.

"We were never together technically."

"You know what I mean." She gave him a pouty look.

"Hi!" I popped in, playing dumb and oblivious to the topic of their conversation.

"Liv! There you are! Babe, come here." Niall put his arm around me resting his hand low on my hip. "Ellie, this is Olivia. We're engaged."

"I heard." She smiled a terribly fake smile at me and shook my hand. This is so uncomfortable. A handshake is such a weirdly professional gesture but I wasn't going to hug her or anything. I'm ninety-nine percent certain I'm shaking hands with one of the few people other than me my fiancé has slept with.
