Niall Horan

Liv is upstairs getting ready for graduation and so are most of the girls, running late as always.

So I'm in the kitchen with Chris and Joe, waiting on all the girls as always.

Joe poured me a cup of coffee and we all hung out in the kitchen, leaning against the counters, talking and waiting.

"Can you believe it?" I asked him.

"That it's already here? No. It feels like just yesterday I was walking her onto the football field for homecoming, and not long before that when Lori and I were forcing her onto the school bus while she kicked and screamed."

"Really?"

"Oh yeah. On the first day of kindergarten she sobbed."

"She's strong willed, that's for sure. And opinionated." I laughed and took another drink of coffee.

He chuckled. "That's to keep you on your toes."

"It certainly works."

Harry came into the kitchen, whistling as he walked towards the coffee.

"Why are you in such a good mood?" I asked.

He looked at all of us with a bit of a start and then quickly covered. "Because Liver is graduating today!"

"Don't get too excited. Commencements are pretty boring," Joe said. "But we have a box at the football stadium so that will be nice."

Grace and Mum joined us next.

"Are they about ready?" Joe asked his daughter.

"Mom is helping Liv. Bad hair day apparently."

I couldn't help but notice the look between Harry and Grace. Her cheeks turned pink and immediately her eyes met the floor.

Oh god please no.

"Why don't you go help your fiancée," Harry suggested with think sarcasm.

"Oh no. I stay out of girl shit like this."

"Niall," Mum scolded. "Honestly, your language."

I'm twenty-two. I can say whatever the hell I want. But instead of telling her that, I mumbled an apology while everyone else laughed at me.

Finally they came downstairs. Liv had a frown on her face.

"What's wrong?"

"I woke up late, my hair wouldn't curl right, my makeup looks horrible..."

"You look beautiful," I said to cut her off. "You always do."

"You're just saying that," she mumbled. If we didn't have six pairs of eyes on us I would kiss her and tell her how sexy she always is.

"Alright!" Her dad clapped his hands together. "Load up, gang! We've got a small road trip ahead of us."

We drove to campus about an hour and a half away. Once we got there, Liv threw her cap and gown on to get ready to separate from us and go with all the other graduates. Apparently they walk onto the football field together.

"Don't trip!" I said before I gave her a quick kiss.

She gave me a joking glare then hugged her parents.

"See you in a couple hours!"

"We'll have a keg ready for you," her dad said.

Okay her dad was right. Graduation ceremonies are boring as hell.
