It's been five years since I left. Five years since I've seen Alice. Five years since I left the love of my life. But I'm back now. Have been for about two months.
When I returned I bought myself an apartment and decided to stay here for a while. I saw Alice when I had recently moved back. She still looks the same. With her long hair and amazing brown eyes. I also noticed that she still made those weird faces that could make anybody laugh. God how I've missed seeing her beautiful face. Just to hold her is all I want to do at the moment.
Right now I was sitting down at a dinner waiting for a waitress to come and take my order. I have to get to work in about 2 hours so I have to eat something. I look up from the menu when I hear someone clear the throat. "Hi! How are you? Are you ready to order, or do you need more time?" Asked the overly excited waitress. I chuckled at her cheeriness and nodded "Umm no I'm ready to order. I would like a beacon, egg, and cheese sandwich please, along with and iced vanilla latte." After she wrote everything down she looked up at me and smiled "Anything else for you sir?" I shook my head "No thank you, that would be all." She nodded and walked away. The bell to the dinner ringed causing me to look up from my phone and see none other than Alice walk in with a bunch of books in her hands and her struggling to set everything down on a table. Yes, she is going to college, I don't know what she is studying though. After she finished setting everything down she looked around and saw everyone staring at her and she slowly lowered herself to the chair. I chuckled as she hid her face in her hands. Probably to embarrassed to look up. Yup she hasn't changed.
After a while of watching Alice study and my food being made, the waitress came back with my plate and coffee and set it in front of me. I thanked her and grabbed my plate and latte and stood up. I slowly made my way to Alice and sat my stuff on the place in front of her and took a seat. She looked up confused then her eyes met mine. I would be lying if I said that she didn't take my breath away. She looked at me questionably then looked back down, probably too awkward to say anything. "What are you studying for?" I asked as I sipped on my coffee. She looked at me then signed "It's for my psychology class. Umm we are studying about mental illnesses at the moment and we have to know the causes of each of them." I nodded my head and then asked "Is psychology something that you've always been interested in?" She smiled at me and said "Yea, it's something I've always wanted to study. You know save a life one day, maybe." I mentally smiled at that. She always thought about others before herself. I stuck my hand out to her and said "I'm Kyle." She smiled at me and shook my hand. "Alice""Nice to meet you Alice."
"Nice to meet you too Kyle."
