I Don't Know If I Should Stay Away [Teen Romance]

Chapter 3

When lunch came around, I was really nervous to set foot into the lunch room just because I had previously found out that Sammy and I don't share the same hour. As I glanced around the room I could see that this school was really separated into cliques, you had your jocks on the right side of the room, the nerds on the left, and then you had the kids that really didn't have a clique in the center of the room.

I looked for a table to sit at and I found one on the left side towards the very back. Nervously I made my way to the back of the room and took a seat to where I would be able to face the whole lunch room. I plugged in my earbuds and started listening to 21st Century Breakdown by Green Day, while I observed my surroundings.

Suddenly I felt the chair next to me being pulled back and someone taking a seat. I looked to my right and was met with Kyle's intense stare. I gulped nervously and smiled "H-hi." He smiled at me and leaned in towards me and with a whisper he said "How are you doing beautiful?" I looked down and smiled nervously "I'm doing fine" he took my chin and lifted it and with a sweet smile he said "Don't hide your face from me Hun it is one of the most beautiful things in the world so show it off okay." And with that he got up and left. What is it with this kid always saying something like that and leaving me surprised and shocked? I swear he is dangerous for my health.

I didn't see Kyle the rest of the day, but I did hear his name and Matt's being called in a couple of my other classes.

When I arrived home my mom came up to me and gave me a tight hug. "How was school baby?" sighing I look at my mom and smile "It was good I guess, I made a new friend and she is amazing." When I said this my mom's face lit up like a Christmas tree "Really honey that is great! What is her name? When can I meet her? Is she in the same grade as you?" "Whoa, whoa, whoa, mom calm down. Ummmm her name is Samantha but she told me to call her Sammy. You can meet her when I get the chance to know her a little better. And yes ma'am she is in the same grade as I am." My mom smiled at me and continued to ramble about how exited she was that I made a new friend.

When I got to my room I threw myself on the bed face down and let out a long lasting scream "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh" I'm so frustrated it's the first day of school and already my interest goes to some guy who I just met and oh let's not forget the fact that IM NOT SUPPOSED TO GET NEAR HIM!!!! "Kyle Reed what are you doing to me." Okay Alice get a grip tomorrow you will go back to school and ignore him all you can, and if he tries looking for you, you run.

Oh tomorrow should be interesting.
