I Don't Know If I Should Stay Away [Teen Romance]

Chapter 7

It was Friday night and Kyle had told me that he would be at my house around 7:30. After I had told my mom that I would be going on a date with Kyle she had tried to talk me out of it. She even tried this morning, until I told her that no matter what she told me I was going on that date. Now, my parents had left, mom claimed that she didn't want to be there when Kyle picked me up.

I was in the kitchen getting a glass of water, when there was a knock on the door. I put the cup in the kitchen table and headed towards the door. When I opened it I saw Kyle standing there leaning on the door frame and a smirk on him face. "Well look at you don't you look handsome." I said with a flirtatious smile. He chuckled and pulled me into his chest "you look gorgeous" he said into my hair. He pulled away and asked "Are you ready to go?" I nodded my head and he pulled me by the hand towards a car. I looked at him and with a smile I said "I didn't know that you had a car." "I don't usually drive it a lot, I do prefer the motorcycle." I nodded my head understanding what he meant, and I climbed into the car, him doing the same.

On the way to the date, I glanced out the window trying to find out where we were heading. He smiled at me and looked back at the road. I cleared my throat and asked him shyly "So where are we going?" Without looking away from the road he said in a teasing tone "A local fair. I hope you're okay with that." "Yea I'm okay with that, I just never took you as a person to like fairs." He looked at me from the corner of his eye "I told you before Alice, there's a lot of things you don't know about me. Don't worry because, there is a lot we will learn about each other tonight." I giggled and nodded my head. When I giggled I slapped my hand over my mouth trying to stop my laugh. He took my hand away and said "Don't hide your smile, its adorable babe." I only smiled up at him and looked away blushing.

When we got to the fair Kyle and I both got out of the car, he walked around to my side and held his hand out for me to take. I slowly slid my hand with his and intertwined our fingers. He gave my hand a tug and I followed behind him admiring the fair lights. We walked around for a while then we decided that it was a good idea to try and ride some rides. We walked up to ticket booth and got the bracelets that let us ride all the rides. When we got the bracelets, a man tapped Kyle on the shoulder and asked if he could take a picture of him and his family. When Kyle took the picture he looked so happy and his eyes shinned when the family looked so happy. When we walked away he said we will be getting on the roller coaster first. At first I hesitated but none the less agreed. While waiting in line I decided to bring up his expression towards the family. "So why did your eyes light up when you took the picture of that man and his family?" "Ohhh, well to me family is an important thing so to see those people happy, it made me happy." I smiled at him and reached up to peck his cheek. He looked down at me surprised that I had actually kissed him and smiled, then wrapped his arm around the back of my neck and pulled me into his chest. I laughed and wrapped my hands around his waist and we just stood there until it was our turn to get on the roller coaster.

When we got off the ride, we went and rode all the rides at the fair at least twice. "C'mon, let's go get something to eat." He said as we got off the double dropper. "Okay, ummm what do you want to get?" I asked as he took my hand in his. "I don't know I was actually going to let you pick." "Well I'll eat anything that you want to eat." He chuckled and turned to me and said "Okay well I'm in the mood for pizza, is that good for you?" I nodded my head "Yeah that's fine." He smiled and he led us towards the pizza shack.

 

"So, do you have any siblings?" he asked as we got our food. "No, mom and dad didn't have enough time to raise two kids so they only had me, what about you, do you have siblings?" "Yea, I have a little brother and two little sisters." "Aww that's cute, what is their names?" he chuckled "Ummm my little brother is Kevin, and my sisters are Katherine, and Kylee." "Oh nice, all with the letter K, did your parents come up with this, or did it just happen?" he looked down and shook his head "Ummmmm no... my umm... mom named the younger ones after they got me." I nodded my head and asked "what are your parents' names?" he looked back up at me and in a hushed tone he said "My mom's name is Autumn and my dad's name is Nicholas." The rest of the dinner was just us consisting of different conversations, from playing 20 questions, to talking about the future.

When it was time to go, we both got up after he paid the bill and made our way towards the car. When we got home, he walked me to the door and in a hushed voice he said. "I had a really good time." I smiled at him and nodded my head "I had a good time to." We stared at each other for a moment, then he put his hand on my check and leaned in, then he kissed my.....

And finally he leaned down and captured my lips in a sweet and loving kiss. Our lips moved against each other in sync like if they were meant to be attached. We kissed for a few seconds then he pulled away and put his forehead against mine and in a loving whisper he told me

"I really, really like you Alice."

"I really, really like you too Kyle."
