"So what you're telling me is that Liam basically proposed. Congrats baby bro!" I called Liam on Skype to tell him what happened last night and to show off my new ring.
"You really think so?" I asked with a shit eating grin on my face.
"Yes! With the words he used, he practically asked you to marry him." His smile was so wide I thought it would split his face in two. "And I'm going to be your best man." He said with a warning tone.
"Of cause brother, who else could I possibly pick?" I questioned.
"Well you and Louis seem to be close." Yeah, he met lou. They don't get along because they are always competing to be my favourite, which is ridiculous because Greg is my brother and Lou is my best friend... And besides, Liam is.
"C'mon Greg, you know I'll choose you over any one in a heartbeat." I say, but he's looking at something behind me with a smirk.
I'm about to turn around when he says: "Hear that, Liam? He'd choose me over anyone in a heartbeat." And that made my eyes widen.
I turned around and he was leaning against the doorframe. "Great confidence boost, Ni." He said as he walked into the room. He kissed me on the forehead and turned to the laptop. "Hey Greg." He greeted.
"Hi Liam. How you doing?" Greg asked with a nod.
"Great and I can see you are good too?" Liam said.
"Yeah man. Baby bro was just telling me how you proposed to him." Why he emphasised 'proposed', I don't know.
"I didn't propose, we just made a promise." He said, red as a tomato.
"Yes, because you didn't ask him to marry you in the future, right?" I could hear the sarcasm dropping from that sentence.
Liam was about to answer, but he stopped and had a thoughtful look on his face. I just watched him with curiosity until he opened his mouth. "Huh. Reading between the lines, I guess I did, didn't I?" He asked and Greg just nodded with that stupid grin.
"So wait! Are you saying we are engaged?!" I asked because they make it sound like I just agreed to a proposal without knowing... Not that I would mind, I mean, it's Liam.
"Sounds like it." Liam says before turning to Greg. "So I know it's probably too late, but I'm asking for your brother's hand in marriage. I need your blessing man." Liam said with a nervous chuckle and I just blushed.
"Let me get this straight. You proposed to baby bro without realising it and you only ask for permission now?" Greg laughed like a lunatic while me and Liam had a contest with tomatoes.
"So what do you say?" Liam composed himself while I hid my face with my hands.
"Why would I oppose? I just want baby bro to be happy and if he's happy, who am I to get in the way?" He said with a shrug.
"Thanks Greg." Liam then looked at me. "So do you wanna make it official? Be my fiancé?" He asked me and I just nodded.
"It's settled then. My little brother is engaged before me." He looked at his watch before looking at us. "Well I have class, you guys do whatever newly engaged people do." We said our good bye and he was gone.
"So when do you wanna get married?" Liam asked me.
"I don't know, let's take it one day at a time, yeah?" He just grinned and kissed me.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot why I came here. We need to go grocery shopping, we don't have any snacks left." He said. We were planning on staying in today and watch movies while stuffing our faces.
We stood up and went down stairs to put on our shoes before going to his car and driving to the store. The ride was full of horrible singing and laughter. I swear every time Liam sings when we're alone, it's like he's not the same person that shoots straight to #1 in less than a week.
We walked into the store and got what we needed. We were passing some newspapers when something caught my eye. Something that made me so mad I could cry right now.
