*Paris's POV*

"This is starting to get out of hand..." Percy murmured, pacing the room.

We had informed about what had happened at our school. Ever since then, he has been pacing around the room saying things under his breath.

Percy stopped suddenly. "I have no choice. I have to go speak with the Gods." he said. "But it's going to be hard... they've been a bit upset since I turned down immortality at the end of the last war. They have barely spoken with us demigods..."

He began to pace around the room again.

"Percy, calm down! It's going to be all right!" Annabeth said, rising from her seat on the couch. She grabbed his arm, forcing him to stop. "I don't think that they are that mad. They might just be... unsocial at the moment," she reassured him.

--------------------------------------------------------

A few hours later, we were all crammed into the camp bus. Percy, Annbeth, Nionnien. Angelyn, Elijah and I. It was a bit tight. We pulled up outside the Empire State Building. Our many eyed driver (what's his name again?) watched us as we went up the steps.

We entered the building. It really was quite fascinating, since I've never been to New York before. Percy led us into the elevator. He pushed a button and we rocketed up into the air. For some odd reason, Lights by Ellie Goulding was playing. I guess I shouldn't question the Gods taste in music.

The doors opened, with a little dinging sound, onto a vast city in the clouds. It was exactly like the books. The Greek style buildings. all the residents, and the huge white temple at the edge of the city. There were a few differences, obviously because of Annabeth's efforts at rebuilding Olympus.

A women was standing right in front of the elevator. "I need to let these darling mortals through the gate." she smiled.

The woman waved her hand and suddenly, we could all walk through the invisible barrier that had been there before. "That was Hera." Annabeth whispered to us.

So that's Hera... I wonder what the other Gods might look like... We walked down the road towards the Temple. All the residents whispered and pointed at us. I felt like I'd walked onto a stage and forgot all my lines.

We entered the Temple. All the Gods were seated there, even Hades. They must have known we were coming.

"Are they mortals?" Zeus asked.

"They are." Annabeth replied.

"Then get them out of this room. We can't have these mortals interfering."

"But... but..." Percy attempted to argue.

"I'll take them somewhere," Hestia volunteered.

"Fine." Zeus grumbled.

Hestia led us down several hallways until we reached a smallish cozy room with a warm fire crackling merrily in the center.

"Now, I'm Hestia, Godess of the Hearth. You are?" She said.

"I'm Angelyn, she's Nionnien, he's Paris, and he's Elijah." Angelyn replied.

"I see..." Hestia muttered cryptically.

"Why does Zeus seem so annoyed?" Nionnien asked bravely.

"When Percy refused his offer of immortality, it was quite humilating for him. It became even more so when Percy requested that they interact with their children more." Hestia replied.

We sat there for a few minutes, only the crackling of the fie breaking the awkward silence. Eventually, Percy and Annabeth finally showed up.

"Let's get going." Annabeth said, standing in the doorway with Percy.

I looked back to say goodbye to Hestia, but she had already vanished into thin air.

We walked back to the elevator, but Percy and Annabeth refused to answer any of our questions while we were up on Mount Olympus.

As soon as we got back in the elevator, Annabeth turned to us and gave us the news.

"They accepted, but we almost lost. If one more person had raised their hand against us, then we would have failed at winning the Gods support. It was Hestia who broke the tie-breaker between both sides. She voted for us," she said breathlessly.

Then the elevator arrived on the bottom floor with another little ding and we all left the Empire State Building. Our driver was still waiting outside. We clambered into the van and he shut the door. We were heading back to Camp Halfblood.
