*Aaliyah's pov* 

'This girl is on fiiireeee. This girl is on fiiiree. She's walkin on fiirreeee. This girl is on fireee.'

I was awaken by the alarm on my phone. I looked around. I dont remember anything about last night. Last I remember, I was waiting on my mom to come back from the grocery store. After that, I was out like a light !

Well, now I had to get ready to go shopping plus get school supplies and everything for school tomorrow. Im really nervous, especially because it's October so im starting kinda late. Not too late but late enough.

I got up and took a shower. I was only going to the mall so I didnt have to get DRESSED up. I brushed my teeth and washed my face while I was in the bathroom so I wouldnt have to do it later.

I picked out my black and pink Jordans, my black sweatpants with PINK written on the back and a pink shirt. I just threw my hair in a messy bun. When I walked out of the room, my mom was sitting on the couch watching tv.

"Goodmorning baby. I was going to just drop you off at the mall and then head to work. You can call me when youre done and I was going to have my friend pick you up and bring you back here", she said.

"Mom, your friend?" I asked dryly but kind of sarcastic.

"Yes, my friend. Her name is Danielle. Ive worked with her for a long time and I trust her to bring you back so be GOOD." She got serious.

"Mom, im always good." I laughed. "Can we go now?"

"Yep." She got up and grabbed her keys.

When we got in the car, she turned on Pandora and I knew she was about to have a karaoke session that I was NOT up for this early in the morning. I layed my head on the window and closed my eyes. I got a text from Alexis so I sat up to reply.

me : Goodmorning ! Thank you and you too mamas ! 

bff <3 : wyd today tho?

me : go shopping  

bff <3 : u alrdy know my sizes so don't forget to hook a sistah up!

me : Lmaoo i gotchu ;) 

bff <3 :thank u!! I luhh yuhhhhh

me : no prob girl lol and i luuuhhhh yuuhhhh tooo!!! 

I locked my phone and looked up to see my mom had parked and was now singing.

"Oohhh ohhhh ohhh ohhh ohhhh ohhhh oh. all I see is signs all I see is dolla signs". I just died laughing.  

Then I saw a lady walking up to the car. She was really pretty. She looked black but she was light skinned with pretty hair. She smiled and walked to my mom's side of the car.

"Hey Danielle! My mom yelled.

"Heyy Diva", Danielle replied.

"This is my daughter, Aaliyah. Aaliyah, this is Danielle. Plans changed, she is actually gonna go shopping with you because I dont trust this city just yet." My mom said and Danielle had this really big smile on her face.

She was like really pretty, though.

"Hi", I said.

"Hey girl. Dont worry, im not boring. We will have a lot of fun but first we gone get something to eat because im starvin like Marvin." She laughed.
