*Alexis pov*

Hey, hey! I'm Alexis guys. Im a Creole girl, 5'5, with big brown eyes and curly hair. I love my baby, Aaliyah and i guess we're about to experience a test in our friendship.

My mom kicked me and my big bro out. She said that we're old enough to fend for ourselves and she aint responsible nomore. She hasnt been herself lately and I think thats the cause for all of this. I dont know what it is but im definitely going to find out because something isnt right. Preston is all paranoid too so we're going to do some digging together once we both get settled.

Mama Porter said I can stay with her. We only got like 7 months of school until graduation and then im off to college. I plan on going to Spelman, all the way out in Georgia.

My dad? Yea, well he dipped. At least thats what my mom tells me. I have some things I NEED to know and only he has the answers to, so the hunt is on for him too.

I guess now is a good time to get back to the story!

"Wake up baby. Your brother is here". I heard Ms. Porter say.

I opened my eyes and she was over me. When I moved, I accidentally kicked Liyah and in return, she sent me flying off the bed. As big as her bed was, she was taking up my half! Mama Porter started laughing and walked out. I got up and walked downstairs.

"Sis, Mama Porter gone register you at Liyah's school. Im moving to Arizona in a week and I need to make sure you in a stable position to finish this year out," My brother said looking at me.

Tears filled my eyes. It seems like everybody leaves me when I REALLY need them. Sad part is, I cant do anything about it. My brother didnt have anywhere to go and although, Ms.Porter offered, he refused because he doesnt like the idea of living off of someone else.

"Ima be back for you, I promise...Nah, man please dont cry." He walked to me and hugged me so tight. I just cried in his arms for a long time until I heard somebody come downstairs.

"Whats wrong", Liyah asked.

"Oh now yo ass care after you kicked her off yo bed. Where was this concern when that baby almost broke an ass bone" Ms. Porter walked in.

We all erupted in laughter.

Aaliyah looked confused but eventually said "OMG, im sorry. You know im not myself when im sleep".

Through all of this, Preston never let me go. I felt his muscles still tense, even when he laughed which meant he was really holding back his tears. I looked up at his face and his eyes were filled with tears. That only made my eyes water and he kissed my forehead, exhaled deeply, and put his hands over his eyes.

Mama Porter and Liyah ran over to us and we all assembled into a group hug. Preston started crying so hard, Mama Porter took him and he broke down in her arms. He knew how much it hurt me for him to leave.

We're never apart unless its school or something but anywhere he goes, im always right behind him. Late nights when mama was trippin, he would put me in the car, pajamas and all and we would ride around until we were sure she was calm. He was my superman and I couldnt stand for him to go but I couldnt be mad at him. I felt so bad. Ive never seen Preston cry this hard. We hugged him and everybody slowly broke down with him.

What a great way to start the day, right?
