Not Me, Not Today

*Aaliyah* 

After I accidentally hit him with the door, he offered to walk me to all of my classes. To say I was shocked, would be an understatement. He looked kinda thuggish but he was a sweetheart. He did this little smirk and my heart automatically sped up everytime he did it. There was something about him but as I said before, im not looking.

"So Aaliyah, right?" He asked looking down at me.

"Yes and your name is..?"

"Kayvion but you can call me Kv." He winked.

"Alright Kv." He smiled.

After awhile of walking, we approached a big classroom.  

"Aye Walters", Kayvion said.

"Hey Mendez", the teacher said.

"Ms. Johnson said to give this to you."  Kayvion handed him a paper.

"Thank you, Mendez", he said. "And who's this?"  He  looked at me.

"This is my new friend, Aaliyah", Kayvion said, pulling me closer to him.

I felt a chill rush through my body. "Hi", I managed to get out.

"Hello there, angel", he said. The look in his eyes kinda made me nervous. I guess Kayvion felt it too because he moved me by my hips and guided me to a table in the back. We both sat down and then Kayvion winked at me.  

After awhile, the class got full.

"Ayee Kv", like 4 dudes said together.

They all dapped him and then took seats around him. "Aye y'all, this is Aaliyah", he introduced me.

"Wassup, Im Ant", one replied. He was dark skinned and very tall but also very buff.

"Hey lil mama, Im Diontre", another replied. He was light skinned with braids and a big diamond in his left ear. He was about 6'0 even but he was buff too. He had a tat on his neck that said "OGCJM". I immediately thought he was a gangbanger.

" Sup shawty, im Terrence", another one said. He was short. He was 5'6 and he was a dark skinned cutie.

" Hey. Im Ricky", the last one said. He was light skinned with green eyes and a tear drop tatted on his face. He was skinny and tall too.

"Hey guys", I said.

They all smiled. Out of nowhere, in comes the loud, the one and only Dre.

"Wassup Walters, wassup shawties, wassup niggas", he announced as he came in.

"Watch the language", Mr. Walters said.

"Aight man", Dre said. "Aye Kv."

He started walking to the back of the class where we were.  

"Aaliyah", Dre said confused.

"Yes sir. How could you forget your bff that fast?" 

"Y'all know each other?" Kv cut in.

"Yea. we go way back", Dre answered.

"Word? How far yo?"

"As far as yesterday", I replied. Everybody started cracking up.

"Yea bro", Dre said. "So what though, I hit it first", he started dancing and singing.

"Boy puhlease, you aint hit nothin but yo big ass head", I replied. Everybody erupted into laughter again.
