"This is awesome!" Cass shouted toward the heavens.
"It's just busking," I replied, "Not really a big deal."
Cass, Sasha and I had headed off to go busking, upon Cass' request, and popped into the nearest music store on the way there. After many life-changing minutes spent in the music store, and after succesfully destroying one of their grand pianos, curtesy of Sasha, we left with a sparkly, sleek, pink guitar.
We actually were still sounding pretty epic if I didn't say so myself, and we were pulling in quite a bit of cash. Seriously. I don't know how much other buskers get but we were getting over $1,000 each song! No i'm not actually serious - don't be daft - but we were getting maybe $5 - $15. It was great. Moving on.
After what seemed like decades, Sasha and Cass actually decided on a song - One Direction - and we started singing, Cass rocking out on her bass, and Sasha and I on our instruments. After a while, we started getting hungry so we popped in to the nearest cafe and ordered some sandwiches and muffins and then Sasha had a brilliant idea.
"Tomorrow I'll give you a tour!" She exclaimed happily, "I totally forgot that you don't know where the heck anything is."
Cass gives me a pointed glance.
"Yeah, she's a bit odd," I say. Cass nods in agreement. Sasha doesn't notice the whispered conversation. Figures.
"- And we could go to all of the places like you've probably never been to Nando's, and-"
"We have Nando's in Australia Sasha," I say despairingly.
"What?" She screeches. "Since when?"
"Uh, since like the 1400's," Cass says sarcasticly. Sasha doesn't get the hint.
"What? Oh my gosh that's like ages ago! Wow you're so lucky."
Cass and I share another pointed glance.
"Let's um, let's just busk."
"What song?" Cass asked.
"Do you know Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift?" I said hopefully.
"Yeah! Let's do that one!" So we started singing. Obviously.
"Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on FIIEAAAGH!" That was when some idiot tripped over a cord and crashed into me. It hurt. She quickly stood up and brushed off her thick, wavy brown hair.
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" She said quickly, her eyes looking around frantically. "I was just walking and I tripped! I didn't know the cord was there! Sorry!"
"Hm," I grumbled. Idiot. She could've broken my guitar. Or me. Or herself. Or me.
I started to stand up and she lowered her hand down to help me up. I ignored it. "Um are you okay?" Sasha asked the random annoying clutzy girl.
"Um, yeah, but I'm so sorry for crashing into you! I'm Bella by the way, and I'm London to see my boyf - um, a friend," she said nervously.
"Well I'm Sasha, this is Cass, and the one you tripped over is Maddie."
"Hi!" Cass said enthusiastically.
I just grunted and she looked away awkwardly.
"So do you guys live here?" She asked.
Sasha answered for us, of course. "Well I live in London but Maddie and Cass are from Australia, and Maddie got on the wrong plane and Cass flew over here so we could introduce her to One Direction."
"You know One Direction?" Bella exclaimed loudly. Oh great. Never should have trusted Sasha with the introductions.
"Not so loud!" Cass said in a loud whisper and clamped her hand over Bella's mouth, looking around suspiciously. As the only people around were two elderly couples, I doubted that anyone who cared had heard that last statement.
