Betty woke up. She could hear birds chirping. Could feel the sun on her. She hadn't felt the sun in what seemed like forever. She then realized what had happened when she crossed the bright light. She remembered loosing Robert. Remembered him not responding. She quickly got up and frantically looked around her. She spotted Robert and ran to him. He was awake so Betty leaned over and hugged him.
"Were out" Robert said quietly.
"Yeah... we are."
Suddenly things got a little quiet. They stared into each others eyes and after awhile they both leaned in. Closer. And closer until...
Their lips touched. Betty put her arms around Roberts neck and Robert put his arms on her waist. He was gentle, yet somehow feirce. She liked it.
"I wonder if it's still 1978?"
"Maybe."
A biker passed by and Betty wondered if he knew. "Excuse me! Do you know what the date and time are?" Betty called.
The biker stopped, pulled something out of his pocket pressed a button and spoke. "It's may 3rd 2016."
Betty and Robert exchanged looks. A while later they bought a house and adapted to this new life. Had kids. After that, things carried on normaly. They lived, loved, were loved, and passed. Lived with their friends in heaven. Broke on through the other side.
