Percy

Percy felt horrible. He was surrounded by two dozen demons and he was helpless. Annabeth had taken his sword but the demons weren't attacking.

They hissed," stand down daughter of Athena. We have no interest in fighting you. Gaea just wants the boy."

“Never." She replied.

He wasn't just going to lie there and watch as his girlfriend helplessly fought his fight.

“Annabeth" he said “give me my sword."

“What! Percy you can't even stand I highly doubt that you could-"

“Annabeth. Please"

He struggled up ignoring the exploding pain in his ribs, head, and leg, and swallowed a building scream. He struggled forward and took his sword from a surprised Annabeth. Then he ripped out the arrow in his side and winced.

That's when the first monster attacked.

He was off balance because of his broken leg and ribs but he continued fighting.

You have to make sure that Annabeth gets out alive. He thought to himself.

He risked a look over to where Annabeth was standing and saw that she had picked up a sharp rock and was holding her own. Percy was tiring quickly and that's when one of the telekhines decided to play dirty. He kicked Percy's broken leg and then smacked him with the hilt of his sword in the ribs. He screamed and lashed out. The monster disintegrated but Percy was close to being overwhelmed. His chest was an aching and every breath hurt. He coughed and blood came out.

No, he thought. I will not die here.

A sword pierced his arm and he nearly passed out. He faintly heard Annabeth screaming his name. Then he had an idea.

While fighting blindly on the ground he thought,

“Hey dad. Um, I know that gods don't really come down here but I am about to die so a little help would be appreciated." He sensed a familiar tug in his gut as new power filled him. He yelled and water exploded from the sides of the cavern destroying every remaining monster.

Percy tried to use the water to heal him, but he didn't have enough energy and the water started to dissipate. The gash on his arm and the wounds on his back healed, but since they were there for a while he was sure that they left scars. His ribs almost righted themselves completely, but his head and shattered leg were too severe to fix in a short amount of time. Then, the water completely disappeared along with his burst of energy. "Thanks dad"he said and then surrendered to unconscious.
