#Poem4

As down the road
I slipped
A million dreams
I dreamt

He was walking down the same road;
He came across my love
He lifted my being
And placed it as a dove

He nurtured me to health
And fed me bread
He made me stronger
And fixed my bed

I know I gotta leave
But I can't go
I have never so met
A soul so pure

Alas! my heart was gone
Stolen by his mighty eyes
And good riddance as it was
I prayed the skies

To let me stay,
To make me ill
So I could stay
To make no pill

That could cure my pain
As this throbbing feeling
Was all I got
And it was my healing,

The care I sought
I had long forgotten love
And I rarely ever fought
As I had nothing to fight for,my love

But as I rise
In his arms
As I stir
And see him alarmed

I know this is right
I don't need to tell the world,
Don't need to label us
All I need is him,my world

And I will fight a million wars
And steal a hundred stars
To keep him right beside me,
I'll get rid of my scars

But one morning when I woke up
I knew I was okay
I knew I had to leave
I was just waiting for his say

But then a riot broke out
And we fled to save our lives
And then the oceans tore apart
And I knew this wasn't wise

But all for a while
I had him
My all in my life
I had him

Just for a while
I had him
But in just a while
I had him.
