"Check your corners if one of these goddamn things run up on my ass im gonna be pissed" Chris said. Gage and Aleks chuckled at him "We got you man, relax." Aleks assured him. They walked further to the elevator and siphoned energy to it and waited. Aleks looked at Gage out of the corner of his eye as he aimed into the shadows "So Carter says youve survived something like this" Gage nodded his head at Aleks "Any idea or tips on how to kill em?" "Aim for the joints if you can blow their limbs off theyll bleed to death, besides that aim for the head." Aleks nodded and Chris looked at Gage with a smile on his bearded face "So were shooting fuckin zombies and shit? hell yeah!"

Aleks looked behind him as the light shining from the elevator door as it slid open "Lets move." Gage ordered as they ran in, weapobs raised. Chris pressed the up button and the thick elevator doors closed and began to rise. "So whats the plan bro" Aleks asked Gage. "Well we get to the bridge, activate the power, then we establish COMMs with the Montana, after that we use a SkyCrane to leave, Then once we're clear the Montana will shoot the shit out of Klot." Aleks bobbed his head "Cool." "Do you two hear that? I-It sounds like... singing.?" Gage looked at Chris and back at Aleks "Chris.... What song is it." Gage asked "I-It sounds so... so close..." Gage eyes widened. "it sounds like its in the elevator with us" Chris continued "Chris what song man?" Aleks demanded to know, Chris stood there and began to sing quietley, almost to a whisper "... up above the world so high... like a diamond in the sky.." "Chris, you cool man?" Aleks asked. Gage raised his rifle at Chris slowly moved over to Aleks. "Aleks.." Gage refused to aim away "... we gotta get out of this elevator... now." "Why? What the fuc-"

Suddenley the elevator stopped and the lights blew out causing the two to stumble and fall to the ground. It was pitch black and silent the only thing that could be heard was Gages groans. "Aleks? where are you?" Gage asked. "Im right here, W-wheres Chris?" "I dont know.... Chris?" Gage then felt something breathing on the back of his neck that made his heart race. Gage slowly reached for his pistol "Aleks..." Gage said "W-what?" Aleks voice called from the other side of the elevator. Gage quickly spun around and smashed chris in the skull with his pistol causIng chris to smash into tge side of the elevator causing the lights to flicker. Chris shrugged it off and tackled Gage to the floor causing his gun to slide across the ground. "Aleks! Help!" Gage yelled "One body, One mind!" Chris screamed as he choked Gage. Aleks quickly kicked Chris in his jaw throwing him against the wall "Shoot him!" Gage yelled as Chris charged him yet again. Gage grabbed his arm and snapped it out of place causing Chris to laugh maniacally as Gage threw him on the ground "Aleks!" Gage yelled as Aleks grabbed Gages pistol and pressed it up against Chris' head "Sorry man." Aleks said placing his finger on the trigger. The shot echoed throughout the elevator shaft causing the screaming to stop. Silence fell over the elevator. "why did h-he do that man, ive known him for years." Aleks said sitting against the elevator wall. Gage looked at Chris' corpse and the large hole in his head "Aleks im sorry.... These things they can get in your head and cause you to... see and... hear things that arent real" Gage looked at Aleks who rubbed his head in confusion and fear. "its just us now Aleks.... were gonna make it home kid just stick close alright" Aleks stared at his fallen comrades blood soaked body. "Aleks?," Aleks looked up at Gage "are you with me man? I cant do this alone?" Aleks slowly began to nod "Yeah... yeah im with you." Gage looked at the bloodied kid and extended his arm to help him up. The door slid open and Gage pulled Aleks off the ground "Heres where the final countdown begins, we go now or not at all.. you ready for this?" Gage asked looking at Aleks "For Isiah and Chris" "And for the Klot" the two raised their weapons and walked out of the elevator into the shadows
