I was stunned by the size of the building. It was tall and modern, with the guild's symbol in the front, and a sign under it, reading "Fairy Tail". I stood there for a while, before Lucy pulled me quickly to enter.
She opened the big gate and I wasn't surprised to find an equally beautiful place inside. Everyone seemed to be having a nice time in there, until they all saw me and stopped doing anything they were doing, glaring at me for long. I was getting worried until they ran towards me to hug me.
"Erza!" Everyone gave me a warm welcoming, and even though I could not remember them, I knew they remembered me and they seemed so happy that I was there. It made me feel safe. Home.
"Is that...ERZA?!" a loud voice echoed and I saw a spikey haired guy with a checked scarf running towards me. Before I knew it, he was hugging me tightly with a wide grin on his face.
"H-hi" I muttered, before he let me go. His eyes were shining, he looked so energetic and lively."Ah, that's right", he said, scratching the back of his head. I could hear a sound of disappointment in his voice.
"I'm Natsu. Natsu Dragneel." His warm smile didn't escape his face as he pointed at his chest. I couldn't help but pay the smile back.
"Oh, Erza is back?" Another one wearing a silver cross around his neck showed up from the back, walking towards me.
"I'm Gray Fullbuster. Welcome home" he told me in a cheerful tone.
After a while, everyone had introduced themselves to me: Juvia, Gajeel, Levy, Mira, Elfman, Wendy, Master and so many others, welcoming me so happily, making me feel like I truly belong here.
"I'm so glad you're back home safe Erza-san!" Wendy said, when we had sat down on a table along with Lucy and Cana.
"Yeah, it feels great", I replied, part of me still trying to get used to everything.
"Say, do you really not see any colors?" Cana asked, and both Lucy and Wendy looked at her slightly surprised.
"Cana! That's not very-"
"It's fine", I replied, with a warm smile to calm them both down. "Yeah, it's true. Just black and white."
"That must be really cool!" She said excitedly, trying to be positive about it, but I lowered my head.
"Not really ..", I mumbled, recalling everything that happened this morning. When I glanced down, my eyes fell on the raven shaped symbol I had on my left arm. Somehow, looking at it gave me more hope and courage than I had before lowering my head. As if somebody talked to me through it and made me feel better, for those few seconds.
"Now that we mentioned it", Lucy said, and her voice brought me back to reality. "I know how hard it probably is for you to go through life like this without help and guidance. So I found somebody willing to help you with that!"
I raised an eyebrow. "Really?..Who? "
"You'll see", she winked at me, got up from the table, and walked towards me. "Come on!" She pulled me from my wrist, without giving me the chance to speak.
A few minutes later, Lucy had led me to the town's market. It looked so vibrant and lively, full of people bying clothes, food, equipment and other things they found on sale. Many voices reached my ears and so many people crossed my eyes, but Lucy wouldn't stop walking through the endless mob. After walking through half of the stores, she stopped. We were at a round fountain, surrounded by numerous kinds of flowers, and a few benches at the side, where there was nobody but a few birds searching for food.
"Lucy, what are we here for?" I decided to ask, before she started walking again, but this time in circles and not going anywhere further than ten steps.
"We were supposed to meet here, but it seems we came early." She looked around, covering her eyes from the sunlight hitting them.
"Will you tell me who it is?" I insisted, but she shook her head negatively. I crossed my arms and sighed, as I decided to simply wait and see what happens.
It had been about a quarter, and I was sitting next to the fountain, touching gently the water's surface with my fingers, when I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I turned to face Lucy's bright smile.
"He's here!" She said cheerfully, and I turned around, looking at the person behind me. He was tall, wearing a thick woolen coat and a scarf wrapped around his neck, his hands in his pockets, and his short blue hair dancing with the wind..
Wait....Blue....?
