100 years later

"Ready?" She nodded her head, and turned to face Dawn.

"Yes ma'am." She led her down the long corridor to the big ball room where the whole kingdom awaited to see their new ruler. As she walked to the middle of the ball room hoping not to trip on the floor length blue dress she felt nervous, she was hoping to see Emerald one day taking the throne, proclaiming her title as the queen, instead of herself. Ember was asked if she would like to take over the kingdom, since she was technically Emerald's second in command. As the wide and heavy doors opened, everyone in the hall turned to face Ember as she walked down the large room towards the middle where she saw Dracula waiting in the middle in a formal suit. She walked towards him and stopped facing him.

"Are you ready." Dracula whispered to her.

"Yes." Ember looked up at him and smiled.

After an hour of the ceremony

"Do you Ember of the Phoenix's land, promise to protect this land of monsters, and not allow anyone or anything to harm it, and look over your people." Dracula said loudly

"I do" Ember said just as loudly, Dracula smiled and grabbed a golden blue crown off a pedestal and carefully placed it on Ember's head, and in that exact moment everyone stood up from their seats and started clapping and cheering for their new ruler. Ember turned around and bowed to everyone. She turned around and looked up at Dracula.

"I'm sorry that you had to do this, i know how you wanted see your daughter on this stage other then me." Dracula's face saddened a bit, but then he smiled. Dracula gave Ember a quick hug, then looked at the crowd.

"Now then, let us all enjoy the celebration of our new queen, Ember." Dracula yelled at the crowd. Everyone headed outside where the celebration was taking place. Ember looked at the now empty room and admired the white room filled with portraits of Dracula's family, she looked around the room until she saw the one face that she missed seeing everyday.

"Oh Emerald." She whispered. She looked at the portrait and noticed that the painting was before Emerald lost herself to the blood lust.

"Emerald, I wish I wasn't in this position, I always wished this was you." She heard light footsteps and turned to face the monster walking to her.

"I'm sure she is happy that you decided to take her place, for her." Dawn said looking at her smiling. Ember looked at her and sighed, then she looked down. Dawn came over and hugged her slightly.

"Come on, lets go enjoy the party." Dawn said holding on the Ember while walking outside.

Few hours later

"Thank you." Ember bowed as the next pair of monsters came to wish her a long life of leadership. She looked around at the crowd and decided it was getting a little claustrophobic and decided to go to the front of the castle. She went to the dimly lit front yard of the castle and leaned against a pole looking up at the dark sky with only the moon lighting the ground. She looked up then looked at the forest ahead of her and squinted her eyes, struggling to see the shadowy forest, she brought her hand in front of her then a fire started to erupt on her hand, she extended her hand front of her trying to get rid of the darkness, when she saw a figure there smiling at her.

"Who is there?" Ember said calmly. The figure stepped out of the shadows and there stood a young woman who didn't look right, she had blood red eyes and her talons were extended, with grey skin and red hair turning white.
