Emerald

Emerald was very nervous she didn't know what to expect from school, she wondered if she would make any friends here, like she has ever had friends. (Note the sarcasm)

"Emerald, we're here." Emerald looked at her new school, she always switched schools every year. She wondered if she will be judged here to, if her best friend transferred here, if so how did she convince her parents again. She was stirred out of her trance when her mom called her.

"Sorry, I was just thinking." Emerald looked at the school and sighed.

"Are you ready to go." Emerald looked at her mom then at the school.

"No, I'm scared." Emerald was getting nervous again. Emerald thought to herself, I just want everyone to leave me alone. She didn't want to be the center of attention.

"You'll do great."

Emerald sighed and got out of the car.

She started to walk to the school yard. As she walked, she saw the different monsters there were, some were in their human form, and some were in their monster form, not by choice, Emerald arrived at the play yard, hoping no one would notice her when all of a sudden...

"Dracula's daughter is here, RUN!" All the monsters ran to the remote corners of the play yard looking at her while she stood in the middle of the deserted yard. She sighed and went to the side of the school, and sat down. Everyone started to spread out again, but instead of playing they whispered about her. Since Emerald has heightened hearing she could hear what some of the monsters were saying. All were extremely hurtful.

"She is going to hurt us all."

"She shouldn't even be here, she's a freak."

"I heard that when she fights, she kills the monsters, like the monster that is her dad."

"She doesn't belong here, she doesn't belong anywhere."

She couldn't stop herself from hearing the comments, she sprinted to the bathroom, went to a stall, and started crying.

"I knew coming here was a bad idea, nobody likes me, they will never like me, I'm never going to be normal like them." She whispered to herself while sobbing. Just then another voice outside of the stall whispered to her.

"Not everybody hates you." Emerald jumped, from surprise, she slowly opened the stall and peeked out and she saw a girl in human form with reddish-brown hair, smiling at her.

"Ember?" Emerald looked at her weary, unsure what to make of her, new appearance.

"Hey." The girl smiled at Emerald, while Emerald's eyes widened. She was so happy to see her friend.

"Finally it's so good to see happy face here. Everyone here already wants to hurt me, just like everyone else has done over the years." Just as Emerald looked down Ember sighed and looked at her friend.

"I'm not going to hurt you." She still looked down, even though she knows this. 

"Why, don't you ever hurt me, you know who and what i am, but yet you are only kind to me."

" I just want to be nice to you, since everyone is being mean to you." Ember looked at Emerald

"Why, why do you care about me, shouldn't you be attacking me, forcing me to fight you." Emerald looked miserable as she said this. Ember knew why, once, a few years ago some monsters bigger then Emerald cornered her and tried to make her show her monster side by force by attacking her. Right as she was going to lose her control, Ember came in and helped Emerald fight off the monsters. But even then she almost lost herself to her monster self, and if Ember didn't call her parents, she might have never regained her humanity.

"Well, would I be in human form if I wanted to fight you." Emerald looked at Ember, and realized she was in human form, but with different characteristics, like every year she always changed her human appearance. As she was looking at the characteristics she saw veins, pumping with blood. Emerald took a step forward towards Ember, her eyes started to turn red, but then she covered her mouth with her hand as she couldn't believe what she was planning to do, without thinking she ran out of the restroom. She heard Ember calling her name to come back. She heard Ember running to catch up to her.

"Go away, I don't want to hurt you." Emerald ran using her vampire speed.

"Please, I can help you."

"No, just go away." Emerald started to run faster as she felt her fangs and talons forming.

"No not now, not now." Emerald whispered to herself, as she ran faster up the stairs. As soon as Emerald made it to the 5th floor, she went into a classroom, and locked herself in it. The classroom was dark, there was no lights except the one coming from the wooden door's crack. After ten minutes Ember was on the other side of the door. Emerald was struggling to stay alert.

"Go away!"

"Please Emerald, just let me in."

Emerald fell on her knees while clutching her throat, she was starting to fight for her sanity.

"Emerald please!" Then the door bursted into flames, making Emerald back away, while holding her hands in front of her.

"Please, go away!" Ember came in and was shocked to see Emerald in her half vampire form, but was still trying to help her.

"Emerald, i won't hurt you." Ember started to get closer while Emerald was backing away on her knees. Emerald was backed into a corner, and started to fight the insanity building up inside her, making her fall to the ground, in pain, while clutching her head. Ember squatted down next to her.

"Emerald, you can fight this, I know you can, you are the daughter of Dracula, you are strong enough." Emerald tried to fight off the insanity. 

"Emerald, drink some of my blood." Emerald's red eyes shot open and she went to her knees while looking at Ember.

"What?"

"Drink some of my blood."

"No, I can't I won't be able to stop myself, please go away." Emerald looked at her, and told her to go away. Ember just stared at her.

"Drink or you will go crazy, please Emerald." Emerald looked with her vampire eyes all over Ember and saw veins everywhere. Her fangs grew longer, and Ember brought her arm in front of Emerald, without thinking she grab her wrist, and started drinking her blood.

"I'm sorry Emerald, i'm sorry that you hve to do this for a life." Ember said with her eyes closed, suddenly she felt something cold on her arm, she looked at Emerald and saw that she was crying, while drinking her blood.

"Emerald don't cry please." Emerald let go of Ember's arm, and turned around while panting then she looked at Ember and she put her hands on her face, and started sobbing.

"Emerald." Emerald didn't look up, she just kept on sobbing. Ember slowly grabbed Emerald's arms and brought her close to hug her.

"I'm a vampire this is how we live our horrible life, why i hate being myself." Ember let go of Emerald and saw blood dripping from her chin.

"Why?" Ember looked up at Emerald confused. Emerald looked at Ember with a straight face.

"Why, what?"

"Why did you give me some of your blood, why are you doing this."

"I want to protect you." Emerald looked at her

"Why?"

"I care for you, you are my friend" Emerald looked up at Ember with tears in her eyes, she had never had anyone else care for her, she always had her parents, but no one else.

"I care for you to." Emerald and Ember gave each other a hug, while Emerald started crying again.

"Let's go clean you up." Ember grabbed Emerald's hand and they went past the pieces of burning door.

Hey guys i am updating the chapters with more details, to make the story more clearer. Thank you for supporting this, I will be updating the story really soon, so until then i'll be updating the chapters.
