Love is a special feeling shared between two people. It is almost never perfect, and why should it be? That would make it boring, wouldn't it?
My first love was with a boy named Jacob. He was unlike any other boy I'd ever met. He was quirky, caring, and most importantly, himself. He didn't pretend to be something that he's not to get people to like him. And that's what made me fall for him.
When Jacob was fifteen, his parents died in a horrible car accident, along with his two sisters. His parents grew up with my parents and they were really close, so we took him in. For the first year, he stayed locked in his room, blarring some aweful music. He only came out to eat, shower, and go to school. We never bothered him. That's what he wanted. To be left alone.
Finally, on my sixteenth birthday, he came out of his room and went to my party. My parents and I were shocked. He dressed up too, in a suit with a bowtie and everything. After the party, which was amazing, he asked me to stay downstairs with him to watch a movie. We ended up watching Beauty and the beast, which seemed odd to me. After the movie was over he kissed me and that's how it happened. That's how I fell in love.
