Sick

At the restaurant, we sat at an eight person table. I sat between Jake and Minnie. Marcus and Cassie sat across from us, as well as Austin and his girlfriend. When it was time to order, I got a chipolet chicken sandwich with broccoli cheddar soup. Jake ordered the same thing, throwing me a smile as he told the waitress what he wanted.

"Jake." Minnie said. He leaned forward to look at her. "How's Emmie in bed?"

"Minnie!" I almost yelled while everyone else laughed.

Jake wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me close to him. "She's a cuddler."

"Seriously?" Austin asked.

Jake looked at him. "Really."

"I always thought she's be a freak. Not that I think about my cousin having sex, but still."

I blushed scarlet and looked down.

"Is she loud?" Minnie asked.

I groaned.

"Hey, I have to know this." Minnie said to me. "I need to know whether I'll need ear plugs at night. Your room in right beside mine."

"She's quiet." Jake said, pressing his face against my shoulder.

They all laughed again. Jake kissed my bare shoulder before lifting his head. I could feel his eyes on my face and I looked at him. He smiled widely and I couldn't help but smile back. He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine gently.

"I love you, baby." he whispered.

"I love you, too." I whispered back.

Something hit Jake's face and bounced into my lap. I looked back. It was a roll of bread.

"No kissing at the table." Marcus teased.

Jake picked up the roll of bread and set it on the table before kissing me again. I smiled against his lips. The waitress came back with our food and I smiled, happy to have something that would distract everyone from the subject of my sex life.

Everyone was silent while we ate. The food here was amazing. We ate here every year, it was that good.

I was chewing on a bite of my sandwich when I felt my phone vibrating against my thigh in my pocket. I pulled it out and looked at it. I had a new message. I opened it, wondering who it could be.

At the bon fire you and I are taking a trip to the water. I can't resist you when you look like that. Jake

I bit my lip to keep from smiling and responded.

The outfit worked then, huh? Em.

I waited for him to respond. When I felt the phone start to vibrate, I opened it.

It definitely worked. ;) You're such a tease :P Jake

I know ;) Em.

You just wait for the water. It's going to be epic ;) Jake

I didn't respond, instead I tried to keep from shaking with anticipation. I finished my food quickly nad waited impatiently for everyone else to finish. I could tell Jake was holding back laughter the entire time. Jerk.

When everyone was finally finished, I was practically bouncing in my seat. I was getting wierd looks from Minnie, but I ignored them, knowing she'd tease me if she knew why I was acting like this. After we paid for our food, Jake took my hand and led me out to the car. We were alone, since everyone else was taking a bathroom break before the bon fire.

Jake shoved me gently against the passenger door and kissed me roughly. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my body tightly against his. I could feel his arousal pressing against my hip. He moved his lips to my neck and I let out a moan. Jake's hands balled into fists on my back and I heard a tearing sound. I gasped and pushed him away.

"Jake!" I almost yelled while trying to see what he'd ripped.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize to me. It's Minnie's shirt."

He chuckled. "Whoops."

I gave up trying to see what he ripped and smacked his arm playfully.

"Bad news, guys." I heard Minnie say, her voice sour.

"Oh, no." I muttered.

"What's that?" Jake asked her.

"The bon fire is cancelled. He just texted me."

"Well, that sucks." I said dryly.

Jake pulled me against his chest, wrapping his arms tightly around my waist.

"We can always go night swimming." Marcus suggested.

"In the pool?" Cassie asked, sounding bored.

"No. In the lake."

At the house, I changed into a string bikini, despite Jake's idea to just go naked. Although it was a good idea, considering our plans for in the water, it was still windy. I didn't want my coverup to blow up, showing off that I had no swimsuit on. That would be embarrassing.

I was waiting for Jake to finish changing when I suddenly became hot. A sheen of sweat broke out on my forehead and my hands became clammy. An uncomfortable sensation twisted in my stomach and I raced to the bathroom, slamming the door behind me.

I threw up until there was nothing left in my stomach and I was just throwing up stomach acid. By the time I was done, my throat burned and I felt like I was siting in a hot tub. My hair clung to my face and neck uncomfortably.

"Emmie?" I heard Jake ask behind the bathroom door. His voice was anxious.

"Come in." I said hoarsely.

The door opened and Jake ran over to me. "What happened?"

"I got sick." I told him. "It came out of nowhere."

He knelt down beside me and pressed his hand to my forehead. His cold skin felt great against my clammy skin.

"You're not running a fever." he assured me. "But you look like you're half dead."

"It must've been the food."

"Hm. Must've been. If anyone else gets sick, I'll call and tell them."

I nodded and reached up to flush the toilet.

"You're in no condition to go down to the lake." Jake said. "Why don't you go to bed?"

I nodded, not willing to put up a fight, despite when we had planned. "I'm sorry i ruined out plans."

He shook his head and kissed my cheek. "We have all summer."

Then he lifted me up gently in his arms and carried me over to the bed. He laid me down and covered me with a blanket.

"What's wrong with her?" I heard Minnie ask.

"She got sick."

"She isn't going to the lake?"

"No. I'm going to stay here with her."

"Okay." her voice sounded like she wanted to ask something, but she must have decided against it.

The bed squeaked under someones heavy weight and I looked up. I was face to face with Jake. He gave me a gentle smile and pulled me into his arms. The movement caused my stomach to churn and I jumped out of bed, racing for the bathroom yet again.
