"So?" Shion pushed, "Will you tell me? Since you've gone so quiet you must-"
"Shion shut up for a sec,"
"What? Why-"
"Just trust me and shut it," Nezumi placed his index finger on Shions lips to hush him. Shion stared at that finger, and felt how soft his fingertips actually were. He felt the urge to let that finger enter his mouth. At that stupid thought, he blushed, yet continued to look at the finger.

Nezumi, though, felt alert. He lived in this house so long, he knew every single sound it made, and could identify what each one of them was caused by. So now, he felt that something was wrong. Was it footsteps he was hearing upstairs? Was that possible? His grandmother was long dead and since he has no other family members it was impossible for anyone to just stroll around his house.

After a second of thinking it hit him. He couldn't believe at how incompetent he was to let something like that slip through him.

"Shion, go into the room you felt claustrophobic in, and take off the rug that is on the left hand side of the bed. The red and brown one. Now." At that, Shion didn't even dare to question him. He got up, and as he walked himself to the room, he held onto his stomach and rib, that were still sore.

He gave one glance back at Nezumi, who subconsciously started mumbling to himself out loud.

Must lock this trap door before they find it. I must protect him.

At that, Shions heart started beating faster, and he felt more energized then before. With a faster pace, he quickly ripped off the rug, and in awe, stared at the pitch black tunnel, that seemed to lead to another realm. His jaw dropped. It felt unreal to see something that wasn't modern and clean and perfect.

"Come one Shion," Nezumi said, placing his hand on his shoulder. "We really need to go". Shion looked over at that hand, and then at Nezumi's small smile, which made him realize they really had to go. He didn't know why or from who, but what mattered was that Nezumi said so, and if he said so it meant they really did.

Nezumi handed him a flashlight, and as they both entered the tunnel, Nezumi turned around, and pushed a huge rock to cover up the tunnel hole. The rock was hiding in the side of the wall, as if waiting for this moment to happen. The tunnel was about two meters high, and a meter wide. The walls were a brown hard soil, whereas the floor was made of stone conveying that they weren't deep underground.

Shions breathing fastened up, as once again he felt stuffy. Nezumi grabbed his left arm without letting go, and told him to shine the light forward, and not think about this place. "I'm going in front of you, so just concentrate on me, okay? And shine the light so I can see".

Shion shone the light forward, and noticed Nezumi held a bag with his left hand. As he stared at Nezumi in front of him, he also tried to control his breaths. In, and out. In, and out. He repeated in his head. The fact that Nezumi held his arm reassuringly helped him a lot.

As they walked forward, the tunnel seemed to never end. Continuously, they strided forward. After a few moments of silence, a sudden thump echoed along the tunnel. Shion attempted at looking back, but Nezumi tugged his arm forward, motioned to not do so. He obeyed.

"It's okay, they only now found the trapdoor. Before they find and break the rock, we'll be long gone". Shion listened to every separate word Nezumi said, as it repeated itself over and over again in his head.

The beautiful, crystal clear voice kept ringing in his mind, and his body felt more and more like gelatin. Each step he took felt heavy, as if he three times his weight.
