It's such a beautiful day, Shion murmured under his breathe, while staring at the sun excitingly. Currently, he was standing outside the schools' building, beside a bench that he lay his bag on and waited for Safu to come out of her class. She was late, which mean't she was probably praised, again, for being such an excellent student.

He stopped staring at the sun that hurt his eyes, and sighed under his breathe, while smiling. He was very proud of her. He was glad that even though afterwards he'd have to listen to a long lecture about physiology, that she was looking forward towards her future. That she was happy.

Sometimes Shion found himself questioning if he was really happy himself living here in Chronos, going to this high school and just being him. If he really wanted a career in Ecology and to live a perfect life until the days he'll pass away. Was this really something to look forward to for him?

Tap

A small, woman's hand touched his shoulder, and he was quickly shot into reality. He looked behind his shoulder, and a small round face with brown eyes and shoulder-length hair grinned at him happily. Safu.

She jumped at him with a hug and hastily pulled away. "Heya, Shion! Did you wander off again? Ah, I feel like that is something that isn't normal... maybe I should ask one of my teachers if that is a normal human behaviour? For example I don't do it but..." She continued on rambling, yet awoke quickly when he placed his hand on her shoulder, "Hey, hey! Im pretty sure it is. And anyway, why were you late again?" He asked with a friendly smile on his face. He knew what was coming.

"Well, the physiology teacher praised me again, which to be honest is getting on my nerves since she everyday says the same thing, but anyways she said that in a few weeks time or less she might be able to get me on an exchange to another place! Don't you think that's so exciting Shion?" She came closer to him, placed her two hands on his shoulder and stared deeply into his eyes.

"Really? Well that's awesome, since wasn't that your dream? It's great experience to go out and explore other utopias, right?" he said, trying to sound interested. She dropped her hands off his shoulders, positioned her scarf on her neck and turned her full body around. She suddenly started walking forwards, making Shion hastily grasp his bag and run after her. "I am sorry if it sounded like an insult but I was simpl-" she interrupted him, "When that time comes I won't be able to see you for a great amount of time, Shion".

"Well, yeah since you'll be-" She did it again, "Will you miss me?" Her question took him aback, "Safu, of course I will why would you think I wouldn't?" She stared intently into his brown eyes and murmured, "I didn't say I thought so but its just you stopped listening to me lately. It's like when I talk to you, you materialistically are close to me but it actually feels like your miles away," Shion avoided her eyes and stared intensely at the sky. In a quiet tone, he said, "I'm really sorry Safu, but I can't help thinking about some stuff..." she gave out a hopeful breath, and thought, Will he tell me how he feels about me? "What stuff Shion?"

"Safu," he leaned closer, placing his lips right at her ear. He didn't want anyone to hear. "Did you ever doubt that this utopia was ever an utopia?" He whispered. Safu sighed, with a hint of sadness, and gave him a confused look, "What do you mean?" She murmured not having eye contact with him. Will Shion ever realize her feelings? Will he ever feel the same way she does?

Shion took a deep breath and breathed out, "Doesn't matter, don't listen to me." He turned his face towards Safu which was moving hastily away from his direction. She shouted out, "The first bell is about to ring and I forgot I had to be early! Sorry!" And ran away towards the second school building. Shion was left alone on a path that led to the second and third school building. He watched her nearly trip over, as she rushed to class. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned anything... he thought innocently. This boy could be straight off asked out, and he still wouldn't understand what was happening.
