After Jia told me about what happened to Cory, I rushed and put on my shoes so we could go to the hospital. When we pulled up.. I jumped out the car so fast I forgot to close the door. I ran into the hospital to see Terrence, Xavier, Savage, and Cory's brother Brandon. Jai came in after me.

"Aye man what happened?!" I asked walking up to them.

"I don't know.. we was at the trap and we was bout to leave until some stupid muthafuckas wanted to come do a damn Drive-by. Me and the boys ducked and thought Cory did the same but he was caught off guard and he had like 9 bullets in him. We rushed him to the hospital hoping that he would make it." Terrence said crying.

"Damn.. where Li-" I couldn't even finish because Lia came busting through the door in her damn pajamas and some damn socks.

"What happened?!" She said crying and running up to us.

"Lia... calm down we'll explain it when you calm aight?" Xavier said sitting her down. "Wha-" Lia stopped herself and left the hospital and drove home. We all stood for a minute then we left. On the way home Jai didn't say anything. She just looked out of the window. I laid my hand on her lap and looked at her as we stopped at a red light.

"Ight." I replied as we pulled up into the driveway. We got out and headed to the door. I wrapped my arms around her neck as she opened the door. When we stepped inside I picked her up and carried her upstairs.
