"Maddie, don't worry about it, i'll be fine." Those were the last words I heard from him. Well, at least in person. I'm getting too far ahead of myself. My name is Maddie. I'm a Senior in high school. Well, soon to be anyway. My best friend is Chris. He's always been there for me. I don't know what I would do without him. Well, I kinda got a peek of what that would look like. But that doesn't matter right now. I still see him. Well, let's start the story here. Before I get ahead of myself.

"Chris! I need to borrow your notes for History." I said as I ran to his locker. "Maddie, when are you ever going to remember ALL of your stuff? You know, maybe I want to study for the test too." I laughed at him, because I knew he was right. I can never remember all of my stuff for the day. Things slip my mind very easy. "Um....Next week?" I said, blushing. "That's what you say every week." Chris said with a quiet laugh. And he was right about that too. Chris know pretty much everything about me. We've known eachother since we were 6. He was my first, and pretty much only friend. And you could say that I have a slight crush on him. But I'm not one to get into the drama in school. "Here, I need them before 5th period." He said handing me a binder full of notes, and dashing off to his next class.  And I went the other way to the library.

I pretty much have a designated seat for me in the library. In the far back corner, were no one else goes. According to everyone in the entire school, I'm a socially akward person who can never keep a secret about anyone, or anything. And that's why I only have one friend at this school. All because of Debby. She's never liked me. And I don't know why. She has no reason to be. Maybe it's just because in the 5th grade, she had a huge crush on Chris. And everyone knew it. I mean, it was obvious. She would chase him around every recess trying to kiss him. Until one day, when I told Chris I had a plan to get her off of his case. When the daily chasing came in, Chris ran over to me on the swings and kissed me. And that was the last day Debby chased him. That was also the last day she thought I was an okay person. But whatever. I don't need to be apart of the "popular" clique to be happy. I'm happy the way I am.

Now don't get me wrong. I'm not some "emo" or "dark" person. I'm actually peppy. I love color. In fact, if you open my locker, your bound to be splattered with rainbow colors. Chris, on the other hand, is a one color kind of guy. He's all about the orange. I don't even know what the big deal with orange is. It's not that great of a color (in my opinion, anyway.) . "Hey, how's it doing?" said Alexa, coming up and sitting next to me. "What are you talking about?" Alexa hangs out with Debby. So I figured this had something to do with Debby, and I was right. "The baby?" she said. "What baby? I'm not pregnant!" I said. Now I was mad. This had to be her. "What? Debby said that Chris told her you guys...you know....and now your having a baby." Told you it HAD to be Debby. "Well, that's a lie. Weres Debby?" I said in anger. Alexa pointed to her right. And there she was. With her ducklings. I went over, and the bell rang. No time to finish what had just been started.
