Funny Moments on the Argo II

Hello my readers! This is THE Clover Brooks! Now, this is a bunch of sort stories that I have made up about random and funny moments on the Argo II. Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Leo, Hazel and Frank will share moments that were never put into the books. This first one is about misdirection in steering the Argo II.....

Leo POV

I pushed one of the buttons in the lounge area. The holographic images of Camp Half-Blood disappeared as a white screen descended from the ceiling. A projector slid down from a tile and pointed at the screen.

"Wala! We now have a theater!" I exclaimed, making Jazz hands. Annabeth rolled her eyes and took a seat in one of the awesome lounge chairs I made. Percy sat next to her while Piper and Jason took a seat on the couch. Hazel and Frank walked into the kitchen and started to pop popcorn.

"What should we watch?" Percy asked. I shrugged.

"There is a whole case of movies over in the cabinet over there," I pointed to a cabinet by the white screen. "I don't remember what I put in there, but there are lots of options." Percy stood up and walked over to the cabinet. He started pulling out movies muttering the names,

"Back to the Future, Star Wars, Indiana Jones..." Hazel and Frank came back with heaping bowls of popcorn. Hazel handed a big bowl to Piper and Jason and one to Annabeth, for her to share with Percy. Frank set another bowl on the ground where he, Hazel, and I could share with each other.

"Ah ha! How about we watch Harry Potter?" Percy asked, holding up numbers 2, 3, 5, and both parts of 7.

"Alright, but which one?" asked Jason, tossing a piece of popcorn into the air and catching it in his mouth.

"How about number three? That one is my favorite." said Annabeth, tucking some blonde hair behind her ear.

"Sure, but I haven't seen the movies before it." said Hazel, sitting down on the floor.

"Okay, quick version," I said, and Hazel rolled her eyes. Probably knowing that it wasn't going to do her any good. "There is a dude named Harry Potter and his parents were killed by an evil dude named Voldemort. He is this bald dude with no nose. Anyway, Harry is trying to be killed by Voldemort. Harry stops him every single time, but Voldemort tries anyway. I have no idea why, but he does. Make sense?" Hazel shook her head. I sighed, "Just watch. You'll understand." Percy popped the CD into the reader and took his seat. I sat on the floor as the movie began.

-SKIP TO PART WITH BUCKBEAK-

I stared in awe at the hippogriff as it flew over the tree line. I wonder if I could build something like that.... I thought. I was so focused on how I would do it I was startled when there was a BANG! Against the edge of the Argo II. Piper looked like she might jump out of her skin, like me. Almost everyone jumped, and I stood up.

"That better not be the oars freaking out again." I muttered heading for the door. "Hey guys, could you pause it? I want to go check that out." Percy pushed the pause button right as Harry was screaming at the top of his lungs with delight. I was about to walk out the door, but Hazel stood up as well.

"I better come too Leo. If the Romans caught up to us, you might need some back-up." I smiled. Hazel was pretty good, but I didn't think the Romans would catch up to us, especially if we were going over the Atlantic in the air. I walked out with Hazel behind me. We climbed up to the deck and I waved at Festus.

"He buddy! Did you see what that noise was?" Before Festus could respond, I heard a scream of delight. I looked at Hazel and she looked at me. We looked back at the edge of the deck where the noise had come from. I slowly moved over to the edge and looked down. My eyes widened.

"Hazel, I think you better see this." Hazel stepped over to the rail and looked down.

"Oh....," she turned to the door and shouted, "Guys! You totally need to see this!" There was a thundering of footsteps and Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, and Frank came up to the deck. They all had weapons drawn.

"What is it?" asked Piper, switching her dagger hand from right to left. Hazel smiled,

"Nothing we need to fight. Come look at this." she turned back to the edge and stared at the half bird, half horse creature flying with someone in it's back. The group came walking over to the edge and looked down.

"What the Hades?" Percy said, capping his pen.

"Leo, where did we end up?" Annabeth asked. I thought about my calculations. I slapped my forehead with my palm,

"I forgot to carry the two! Ugh.... we ended up in Scotland!" Harry Potter was screaming in delight on top of the hippogriff Buckbeak.

"WOOOOOOOO!!!!" The rest of the seven just stared at Harry as he started to descend to a lake while I walked over to the controls and punched in new directions.

"Festus," I said, pushing the Wii remote B button twenty plus times. "Set the best course to Rome." The metal dragon blew fire and the ship turned sharply to the right and threw everyone to the left. We all fell to the deck as the ship started so speed southish. Hazel stood up and went to the edge of the deck. She clung to the railing and looked back the way we had seen Harry, but it was now blocked by mist. The normal kind, not magical.

"Leo," she said, "I now believe everything you said." I stood up and checked the readings. We were now headed straight for the right destination. Percy stood, helping Annabeth up.

"You guys want to, uh, watch the rest of the movie?" Everyone looked back at the mist. I put on a smile and said,

"Oh yeah! Let's finish it before the dementors get to us!" Everyone went back downstairs and sat down in front of the picture of Harry, screaming at the top of his lungs with joy. Percy pushed play....
