Percy had a plan. He sat on his bed and servayed his equitment. Rope, long boards big enough for his feet, a harnis Leo had given him, and his will. Not the paper will, but his wits. Could he do it? He smirked to himself. He was the child of the sea god, of course he could do it, but would he? Leo had dared him to do it, but he could just chicken out. No, he decided. I am going to rock this ship! He just hoped not literally. Percy stood and began to get ready. When he was done, he stepped out of his room and walked down the hallway. Luckily, he hadn't put the boards on just yet, so he didn't look like a freak. Percy climbed onto the decj and found Annabeth giving him a dirty look,

"You are seriously doing this seaweed brain?" Percy nodded. Annabeth rolled her eyes. Percy turned to Leo, who was tieing a second rope to the end of the Argo II.

"Almost ready?" He asked. Leo cursed as he kicked the rope.

"No! Stupid rope is not staying!" Percy sighed and pointed at the rope. The rope tied itself in a tight knot and stayed. Percy lowered his hand and said,

"There. Is should be just fine. Now, do I really have to wear these stupid boards?" He asked, holding up the wood. Leo nodded,

"Unless you want to drown." Annabeth scoffed,

"Sometimes I wish that would happen." Percy turned to her,

"I thought you wanted me back?" Annabeth laughed and flung her hands around Percy's neck.

"Of course I wanted you back, so I could stop you from doing stupid stuff!" Percy knew there was more to the story, but she had a point. Sadly. Annabeth let go and Percy strapped the boards to his feet. Leo handed Percy another rope and he tied it to his waist. Percy passed Leo the rope he had and held one end. Percy turned to the water and jumped in, almost like a diver. He swam to the surface and held tight to the rope. Leo waved. Percy waved back and Leo pushed and held down A on his Wii remote. The Argo II sped up, about to leave Percy, but the rope got tugged and he started to ride the waves. The Argo II got faster, and faster until Percy made no effort to use his water powers to keep him afloat. He shot across the waves, hair flying and screaming with delight. And slight terror about what he was doing. Percy was water skiing for the first time! Leo pushed a button and said through the anouncer speakers,

"Anyone want to see a pro water skier? Percy is freaking doin' it!" Soon enough, everyone, even Coach Hedge, was standing by the railing, laughing and smiling. Coach Hedge brought out his mega phone and started to say,

"Jackson! You better get out of that water right now!" But no one took him seriously, because his voice still sounded like Darth Vader. He tried again, but it said,

"The duck says quack!" Everyone busted up. Percy waved goodbye and let go of the rope. Everyone stopped laughing. Silence. Until something shot out of the water and landed on the deck. Percy was standing, superhero pose, with dry clothes.

"Tada!" Everyone clapped and Annabeth hugged him,

"Come on seawees brain, it's dinnertime." She said. Hazel, Frank, Piper, Leo, Jason, Coach, and Percy all headed toward the lounge, ready for a good meal.
