Pirate Treasure

"We've got to find my sword. I can't fight without it." Jason said, peering over the edge of the Argo II at the water.

"We'll, it was your idea to train on deck." Percy said, clicking Riptide back into a pen. Jason glared at him.

"Shut up." He turned his attention back to the water.

"Can you go find it?" He asked Percy. Percy shook his head.

"No. Annabeth wants me to stay out of the water until I am a bit better. She doesn't want me running off." Jason nodded. Annabeth had a point. He stared down at the water.

"How are we supposed to get it out?" He asked. Percy snapped his fingers.

"I bet Hazel could find it and bring it up." Percy ran down the stairs and down the hall. He stopped in front of Hazel's door and knocked.

"Hazel?" He asked, "could you one help us?" Percy heard a shuffling sound, then the door opened. Hazel looked horrible. She was paler then usual and her hair stuck out everywhere. Percy then remembered that she had seasickness.

"What do you need?" She asked, leaning heavily on the door handle. Percy jabbed a thumb over his shoulder.

"Uh, Jason dropped his sword in the sea and I can't get it." Hazel sighed and stepped out into the hallway,

"Let's get this over with..." She walked down the hall and up the stairs, Percy in tow.

Jason was now talking to Leo, who was driving, trying to convince him to turn around. Percy walked over to Jason and tapped him on the shoulder,

"Hazel's going to help." He said. Jason nodded,

"Got it," he turned back to Leo, "are you sure we can't turn around?" Leo nodded.

"We've traveled too far to turn around. Sorry man." Jason shrugged.

"It's okay." He turned away and walked over to the edge, where Hazel was leaning heavily on the rail. She was gazing into the water, eyes wide.

"Hazel," Percy asked, "what is it?" Hazel shook her head,

"I-It's nothing..." She stood straight up and took a deep breath. She squeezed her eyes shut and concentrated. A gold streak came shooting out of the sea and onto the deck. It was Jason's sword. He smiled and picked it up.

"Thanks Hazel! I-" he was cut off when Hazel gripped the edge of the ship, grimacing.

"Hazel... What's wrong?" Percy asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. She gripped her head and said,

"I-I don't know... There is something large... heavily metalified. Is that even a word...?" Percy smirked.

"In my dictionary it is. Can you bring it up?" Hazel groaned and leaned over the railing.

"It's... Almost... Too heavy..." She said, trying hard to stand up. Percy and Jason each took a side of her and helped her away from the edge. Hazel gritted her teeth, then screamed. A huge chest came shooting up out of the ocean and landed with a loud THUNK on the deck. Hazel relaxed, leaving Percy and Jason holding her up.

"Woah... That does look really heavy..." Percy said. Hazel nodded slightly.

"It was... You can let go now... I can stand up on my own..." Jason shook his head,

"No way. You are too weak." Although, Percy let go. He walked over to the chest and ran his fingers along its edge.

"Woah... This feels old..." Just before he opened it, Annabeth and Frank came climbing onto the deck.

"Seaweed brain!" Annabeth called, "what are you doing with a chest with kelp all over it? And why does Hazel look like she is about to pass out? I am gone for a few minutes and this happens!" She stared at Leo accusingly. He raised his hands,

"It was their idea!" He protested. Annabeth sighed.

"Fine... But my questions still remain Percy."

"Hazel!" Frank exclaimed and ran over to her. Jason gave Frank her weight and stepped toward the chest.

"What is it?" He asked wiping some of the seaweed off the lid. Percy shrugged.

"I don't know.... Annabeth?" Annabeth sighed and kelt next to the chest. She ran her fingers along the lid.

"This may sound crazy, but this looks like a pirates chest." She said.

"Sweet!" Leo said, putting the ship in auto pilot and walking over. "Can I open it?" He asked. Annabeth shook her head.

"I wouldn't open it at all..." Percy gave Annabeth a pouty face.

"Aw come on... Please...?" He asked, doing his cute face. Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"Fine. Who wants to open it?" Before anyone even raised their hand, Percy flung it open. Inside, gold chains, silver coins, red rubies, blue sapphires and thousands of other sparkly jewels glittered in the sunlight.

"Woah..." Everyone said in unison. Leo rushed forward and picked up a crown. He placed it on his head and gave everyone a cheesy look.

"I am your king! Bow before me!" He said. Jason playfully pushed him,

"Very funny man. But what are we going to do with this?" He gestured to the jewels. Hazel smiled weakly,

"We feed it to Arion."
