Chap 12

6 weeks. It had been 6 weeks since they exchanged numbers and they had decided to meet up again where they met the first time.

They chose to go to the cinema this time instead of the park. Andrew insisted that he didn't have any money and would even have to walk there. So Oliver offered to pay for it all, even with Andrew multiple objections.

They had decided to watch Inside out and Oliver kept declining when he was offered popcorn. He was starving refused to eat anything. He needed to practice self control. Or at least that's what he told himself.

At the end of the film as they were walking out, Andrew was in tears.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah it's just that scene with bleep blop kind of got to me?" Oliver tried to hold back his laughter.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes!" He exclaimed. "The way he sacrificed himself for joy, it was just a bit too much for me okay, stop judging me." He said as Oliver was failing miserably at containing his laughter.

They decided to go to the park bench again; even though that's where they didn't want to go in the first place, hence the cinema. On the way they stopped at a café to buy some drinks.

Oliver noticed the waitress taking their orders seemed to be interested in Andrew. She kept fluttering her we lashes, and twisting her hair in his direction. She even tried to make her voice seem low and sultry.

"Well she was subtle."

"Subtle about what?"

"You can't be serious? She was flirting up a storm. She probably wanted you to take her then and there."

"I guess I didn't notice." He shrugged and Oliver was highly amused by how oblivious he was.

"Well she wasn't bad looking." Andrew commented

"You like her?"

"Nah not my type."

"What is your type?"

"Men."

Oliver spat out his juice and looked straight at him. He had never met another gay person in his life and the fact that it was Andrew of all people made it all seem strangers.

"What's wrong? You're not a homophobe are you?"

"No no oh god no, it's just - I just - I've never - never met another- you know."

"Gay person?"

"Or at least not one as open." For some reason his breath caught is his throat.

"Does anybody else know?"

"No one."

"Not even Eliza?"

"Especially not Eliza. She is would definitely not be my bestfriend if she knew and I'm not willing to lose my only friend by telling her."

"Well now you have me as you friend so she's not your only friend."

He gave him the warmest of smile and Oliver couldn't help but return it.

"Yeah. I do."
