Chap 19

Things had been resolved. Sort of. Andrews mother had apologized profusely and made him all his favorite food. She even apologized for getting angry at him for lying. She made these speeches about how she promises to never be like his father. He had decided to forgive her because he was beginning to feel smothered.

They barely spoke however. He was still on edge with her because of what happened. He didn't trust her that much anymore.

"Andrew come here." She said as he arrived back from school.

He walked in to see her sitting on the as
"I have some news and I want you not panic. And no it's not about me drinking, so take that look off your face." He rolled his eyes

"Your father had been in an accident quite some time ago and was brutally injured. He got his jaw and his spine broken in several places. He's in a wheelchair and only has control of his neck upwards. Right now he can't speak properly. He's been released from the hospital and he's staying with his brother so he can take care of him. But he has a business trip and he's out of the country for five weeks. So he asked me to take care of him till he comes back." She said the last part barely over a whisper.

His heart stopped and he felt like he couldn't breathe.

"Say something. Please." She begged

"What did you say?" Was all he managed to get out.

"Carlton begged me. I said no but he didn't know any one else who would. At first I was happy. Maybe I could reconcile the divorce. Fix it all. Get back together. But then I remembered you. And how he hurt you. And how he made your life hell. And I couldn't put you through that. So I said no. I love you too much to put you through seeing him ever again."

"I think you should do it."

"What?"

"I hate him with everything I had but I'm not him. I'm not going to leave him to suffer and uncle Carlton isn't the one who hurt me and he doesn't deserve the inconvenience. And if no one else will."

"Are you sure?"

"No."

And with that he got up before they could discuss it anymore. And went to his room. After several hours of just lying on his bed and thinking he called Oliver to come over.

"Hello Miss McEuan."

"Hello Oliver did Andrew ask you to come over?"

"Yes miss."

"Well he's in his room. Tell Andrew I'll be going out to the shops." She said as she headed to her front door.

"Thank you miss McEuan. I will."

As soon as he entered the room he was immediately pulled on to the bed.

"I need a distraction."

"A distraction from what?"

Andrew then pulled Oliver on top of him till Oliver was straddling him and began kissing him roughly. That distracted Oliver enough. Andrew deepened the kiss, then he swiped his tongue over his bottom lip and Oliver gladly gave him entrance. They carried on like that for a while until Andrew took Oliver's bottom lip between his teeth. Oliver pulled away and moved up but Andrew followed him. He kissed him again this time sucking his bottom lip. He pulled away and began to unbutton Oliver's shirt while kissing his neck. Oliver refused to let Andrew see him with his shirt off. So Oliver pushed Andrew back down onto the bed and bit and sucked on his neck leaving a bruise. He began to trail up to his jawline leaving bruises along there. Andrews moans grew louder. His lips then trailed up to his ears. He bit one softly.

"Andrew are you sure about your dad - oh my. I see you're busy I'll just go to the shops now. Bye." Andrews mum interrupted. Her face was bright red as she left matching Andrews.

Both of them felt extremely embarrassed that Andrews miter caught them. Oliver was the one to break the awkward silence.

"I'm guessing that your dad was what you needed a distraction from?"

"Yeah." He said just loud enough to for him to hear.

"Why didn't you just tell me that and more importantly what's happening with your dad?"

"He was in an accident and got badly injured and now he's staying with us. I suggested it."

"Why?"

"I guess I just feel like if I see like that, all helpless and stuff. I'll just be able to rid all my fear of him you know? If i see him as weak then maybe I won't panic at the thought of him anymore. My lasting memory will be him in a wheel chair. I'm pathetic aren't I?"

"You're the last thing from pathetic. You're the most amazing, caring person I know, and the strongest. You're not pathetic for wanting to not let your father rule your life. I understand where you coming from. you mean the world to me and the only thing I want is for you to be okay. I'll stand by you. In everything. So for me to be there I need you to start telling me things like this. I know you don't want me to worry, but I care about you and I want to know when stuff is going on, okay."

And then he felt it. Andrew felt that bubbly, blushing, warm, loved up feeling people describe in all the books and movies. He felt it. He had never had someone so ready to be there for him in everything. He was in love. He loved Oliver.
