Liam was a wolf. I couldn't keep my eyes off his. The shade of yellow was stark against the dark. Leaving hints of light in his wake. He was beating the creature. Slashing with his claws, his teeth growing larger as he nipped and bit at the beast. Vomit had risen in my stomach and was suffocating me. I felt sick. With my eyes wide open flashes of black interrupted my watch.

I felt arms wrap araround my body. Envelopeing me in warmth and comfort. I opened my eyes and met bright blue eyes. Liam. A wave of sickness washed through me.
"Put me down." I whispered.
"Your hurt." he said. "I said put me down." I said. With a little more power in my voice. He paused. But he kept walking. I felt too weak to fight.
A voice rose in the back of my head You let a wolf help you. You are truly weak. I pushed the words away. "Liam put me down." I forced my words. "You need help." he said. "Not from you! " I hissed. He stopped and looked at me. "I don't want you to help me." I said. I started pushing against him. "Why don't you want my help." he said. "Because your disgusting! Your a wolf!" I started to scream. I finally pushed out of his grip and landed on the ground hard.
Liam dropped down to help me again, but I put up my arm. "Don't." I said. "You lied to me! You made me feel attracted to you! But that's just like you freaks! You lie, you manipulate!" the match was ignited and I was in raged. Watching Liam retract from me hurt some part of me. Sending shards of regret in my chest. I tried to get up. Slowly I was on my feet.
Liam watched me every moment. His palms were shaking, he wanted to help me. And he was just as angry as me. Liam went to open his mouth, but the hunters swarmed in. Tessa was right next to me. Her small calloused hands wrapped around my arm. "Are you ok?" she asked. I nodded and tried to walk away. Leaving Liam standing there. My words played in my head as I walked away. One step farther from him every second. Away from something I so desperately wanted.
