"Homecoming? You want me to go to home coming? " I said. Lydia looked at me through her green eyes. "Yes." she said. I shifted my weight on her bed to follow her with my eyes.
"Why?" I asked. "I don't think that's a good idea." I said. "Its a good idea, and its a good cover." she said. "A cover for what?!" I said, getting off of the bed. "Lydia? What are you not telling me." I said, standing behind her crossing my arms.
"I have a bad feeling. " she said. "Jeez! Is there a party or dance that doesn't end up being a battle ground?" I said exasperated. "Well... There was...no." she turned to look at me. "I guess not." she said. "So you want me there for protection? " I asked. "Yes. You took down a berzerker! We have a strong faith that you can protect us. " she said.
  "Fine. I'll go. She smiled.
"Lydia..." I said. Sickness rose in my throat. "Im sorry about what I said. I-I wasn't thinking and-"
"Cass. It's OK. I understand. " she said. I breathed out a sigh of relief.

I stood in the corner. Watching. I had on thigh highs so I could hide my daggers and my gun. I had camouflaged myself in the dark waiting for whatever was eating at Lydia. Nobody seemed to notice me.
"hey Cass." well.
Except Liam. "Hey Liam. " I said. Hiding my smile in the dark. "Do you want to dance?" he asked. He was closer. I could smell his cologne, it was sweet but earthy. It was pleasuring.
"The last time we dance people almost died." I said. I could see him smile in the shadows. "Well. Do you want to risk it?" he said. I felt my heart pitter patter. He held out his hand. He was in a black button up shirt with dark jeans. He looked very cute. I smiled and took his hand. We walked out to the dance floor.
His hand was around my waist and we were close. The song became slow. His eyes looked neon beneath the lights, I couldn't look away. His lips curled in a smile and his face was very close. My chest felt like it was expanding. My whole body was ready to take flight.
His face was so close I could see the small gap inbetween his two front teeth. I leaned my head against his chest and started to breathe in his cologne. The sweet sensation sent my mind and body for a whirl. A small set of hands clasped my back and pulled me to face them. Lydia's face was so pale. "Something is happening. " she said. "Dammit." I turned to Liam. "We should have made a bet." a small smirk grew.
A sent caught my nose it was bitter. Suddenly the music changed and was very upbeat. I turned to Liam. There was a flash of pain on his face. Then he dropped. "Liam!" I yelled. I ran over to were he collapsed. Tears pooled in his eyes while he was clutching his ears. He was whimpering.
"Lydia what's happening! " I yelled over the increasingly louder music. The ringing was creeping in my ears. "Find Malia and Scott!" I said. Lydia took off running. I looked around, everything looked normal, nobody was paying attention to the fact that Liam was on the ground and practically screaming. I searched the crowd. Something caught my eye.
I looked to my left, there was someone just standing there, watching us. The crowd was dancing and there he was. Still as a statue. Staring. Lydia came running back to us, there both down. I carried them to the hallway, help me carry Liam. " she said. "No, take him. There's someone watching. Go hurry. " I said.
I jumped up and starting walking in the man's direction.
Screams lit up the room. So many screams that it took me off guard. Then everyone started running. Running over one another. The music kept playing. Louder and louder.
I liked to where everyone was running from. There was a girl laying in a puddle of blood in the middle of the dance floor. As I turned around I was pistle whipped. Sending me spiraling. I smacked the floor and looked up to see a boot coming down on me.
I spun out of range and hoped to my feet. Standing face to face. The man was very large and tall. But something else was wrong. His eyes. The glowed like headlights underneath his hood. A growl ripped through the air. Then he lunged.
