The next day at the airport, I was with Ryan and the guys and their girls except for Macy. We can’t go in yet because we have a few more people tagging along. Isom was with Codi and they were on their own little world, so let them be. Mark had sleeping Austin on his arms as he gently sways from side to side. Pontius sat on the floor with his babies and Sophie. He was bouncing his kids on his long legs and they were letting out dead adorable giggles. Sean was with Ryan and I, making up stories of the people who were separating and reuniting. Nate was hugging Cubbie’s legs and I could see that it was annoying Cubbie because he can’t move, so he props Nate on his hips instead. “Why can’t I come?” Nate asked,

“Because you have school tomorrow.” Cubbie replied,

“Do I have to go to school?”

“Yes you have to.” He chuckled, “Maybe you can come with me during the summer.”

            “You promise?”

“I can’t make any promises yet, but we’ll see.”

“What do you think about that couple there?” I asked Ryan and Sean because we were still playing that game,

            “Which one?” Sean squinted,

“Blue shirt guy and yellow shirt girl.”

“The guy has to go because he has to go see his mother in Florida.” Ryan said,

“How do you know that it’s Florida?” I scoffed,

“The tag in his suitcase said so.” He pointed,

“And there is no way that the girl is a sibling because they look nothing alike.” Sean added, “Maybe girlfriend?”

And then I witnessed the girl slapping the guy, “Ex-girlfriend.” I corrected, “Wow, right here in the airport. Is it that bad?”

            Ryan shrugged, “Maybe.”

I squinted at a familiar sight. This triggered my inner child, it has always been. I was in a good mood, so there might be a slight chance of exaggeration. I haven’t seen them for almost a year and look how much she’s grown. She’s old enough to walk on her own. I trotted towards her as she quickly toddles towards me. I scooped her up and pulled her close to my chest, “Look at you! You’ve grown!”

“I miss you!” She wrapped her littler arms around my neck,

“I missed you too!” I replied as I planted multiple kisses on her chubby cheeks,

“Hey, baby sis!” Andy planted a kiss on my forehead and wrapped his arm around me,

“Hey! Did you tell mom we’re coming?”

            “I did.” He nodded,

            “Hey, Ally!”

“Hey, Riley! What did you feed Stella? She’s getting heavy!”

She shrugged and smiled, “She eats a lot.”

            “So, how was your flight?”

“Painful.” Andy answered, “Twelve hours of pain.”  He was on a flight from London to LA and he will be joining us to Sydney.

I patted his chest, “Man up, we still have fourteen hours left.”

            He groaned, “Fourteen hours!”

“I’m with you, brother.” I chuckled, “Come on, let’s go see the guys!”

“Joy!” He scoffed. I lead them to where the guys were gathered together in. Ryan and Sean were still playing the game and did not even bother to give a shit that I suddenly ran away from them. Cubbie was still comforting Nate so he wouldn’t be cranky after we leave. Isom and Codi were still in their own world. Pontius was still on the floor with his little family.

Cubbie turned and found us, “Hey, look who came!”

Nate turned, “Andy!” He was set on the floor and made his way to Andy,

They high fived, “Wow, you’ve grown!”

Stella hid her face on my shoulder as Cubbie approached her, “Hey, you were only nine months when I last saw you.”

            “I’m twee!” She pouted,

He chuckled, “Wow, that’s so big!”

“So this is Andy’s little princess.” Rebecca smiled, “Hi there!”

            “Hi.”

“And you must be the famous Riley.” They shook hands, “It’s nice to meet you.”

            “You too.” Riley smiled shyly,

Andy cackled, “This is how much I’ve missed?”

“Pretty much.” Ryan answered, “A lot has happened.”

“Hey, you’re here!” Pontius stood up with Jane on his arms, “Yea, you’ve missed a lot.”

“Girls, this is Andy, Ally’s brother, and his little tribe.” Mark introduced to the girls, “Andy and tribe, this is the girls.”

            “Hi.” Andy smiled,

“Ally has a brother?” Amy chuckled, “No wonder why she’s so recalcitrant.”

“Thanks, Amy.” I scoffed, “Thanks a lot.”

“Hey, it’s a fact.” Mark chuckled,

            Andy snickered, “My bad.”

            “Your bad.” I nodded,

“What did you guys do after I set you up?” He chuckled, “And Pontius, twins?”

Pontius rolled his eyes and introduced the kids, “This is Mark’s Austin, my Chris and Jane, and Sean’s Daisy just arrived yesterday.”

            “Sean?” Andy grinned, “Congratulations!”

            “Thanks.”

“Is that Stella?” Isom gasped, “Look at how much she’s grown!” After a few minutes of catching up, the intercom told us that it’s time to fly. The fathers said their goodbyes and the girlfriend, me, kissed her boyfriend goodbye and promised him something private. The kids were old enough to know that their dads are going to fly halfway around the world, so it took a while. Jane started crying as Pontius kissed her little forehead. We eventually got into the gate and boarded the plane.
