On My Mind

The girls had gotten their make-up done in an hour and a half and were on their way to an interview with HollyWire T.V's Chelsea Briggs. They hadn't been interviewed by Chelsea before so they had no idea what to expect. Their interview's over the course of the Ed Sheeran tour were tedious at best. The questions were repetitive and irritatingly personal. Lauren was the most agitated by the 'who's single' question they'd received constantly.

Lauren wasn't butt hurt that she was indeed single, just that the questions revolved around their personal lives instead of their music. Lauren wanted to be asked what inspired her and the girls and what they would like to achieve in the industry. They had only just released their EP ten months ago and were already in the media on those tacky entertainment 'news' programs.

Even when they sang 'Who Are You' for the first time on a morning breakfast show, the hosts didn't ask one question about the song's meaning or how the lyrics represented them. Lauren could talk about that song forever. She wanted people to know that she and Camila sat in her room and conjured it up themselves. But she hadn't had the opportunity to this day. If you didn't count all the fan questions on Tumblr and Twitter regarding their song lyrics.

Lauren received one question on Tumblr from an anonymous person that asked about the origin to Who Are You. She didn't realise that when she finally could answer that question she didn't know how to say it. She didn't know if she could. To be honest, at that moment, she didn't want anyone to know but her and Camila. It was their song after all.

Lauren understood what fame would entail for them, considering they were five young females. But she couldn't believe the rumours that were being spread about them dating other celebrities just because they were in their age bracket and 'hot'.

They had arrived at their destination and it was a warm day in LA so they were all dressed appropriately...in leather jackets and blazers. Lauren wiped the sweat off her brow as she and the girls walked over to the blonde woman holding a microphone.

Ally was the first to hug her. She always was. That was just Ally.

"Hello! Nice to meet you!" Chelsea greeted her, wrapping her in a warm hug. None of their past interviews had started out this friendly, so Lauren was automatically satisfied. Camila walked up and embraced her next. "Such good energy you guys have!"

"Hello," Lauren greeted the interviewer with a smile.

"Good morning! Hi, hi -"

Dinah stared directly at the camera and waved. She was always the one to find the camera first and work out her good angles before the other girls. Ally and Normani talked amongst themselves while Camila eyed Chelsea's fashion choice.

"Your shirt is fabulous," she complimented and Chelsea looked genuinely appreciative.

Chelsea turned towards the camera after complimenting all of the girls outfits. "I'm standing here with Fifth Harmony. How do you think your name represents you?" She asked and held the microphone to Ally.

"Harmonies are different notes that are combined together, but they blend, even though they're different and we're five different people and we blend together!" She raised her hand in pride and the other girls cheered her answer.

"Can you tell me a bit about how you guys formed?" Chelsea's next question made Lauren smile immediately. The microphone gravitated towards her and she decided it was a little ironic considering her previous distaste for joining the group in high school.

"We all went to the same high school," she began and Chelsea nodded.

"Oh so it must have been really easy getting together," she stated positively and the girls sent each other an amused look.
