** Finally! An update.
I am so sorry for this ridiculously long wait for this chapter, but somehow work and the holidays came in the way. Go figure ;-) Hope you all had a nice Christmas and a happy new year and I hope to still have all of you around for stories to come. Have a nice read! **

Looking at the monitor, Billy stared with amazement at the moving image of his and Cassie's baby. Then he turned his head and beamed at her.
"It's amazing, " he whispered and squeezed her hand, "My baby. Our baby. "
Lying on the hospital bed while the nurse moved the probe over her stomach, Cassie suppressed a small giggle and gave him a soft smile.
"I know honey; you've said that about 20 times already."
"I have?" Billy raised his brows at her and gave her a surprised stare.
"You have been mumbling, " she told him in a whisper back.
The nurse looked up and gave him an affirmative nod as well as a sincere smile. "You have."
Billy pursed his lips and gave the nurse an affronted glare. His image as a badass biker was on its way to be totally ruined if he could not keep these emotions at bay, emotions that he had never before in his life been exposed to. It felt like his heart was going to explode every time he looked at Cassandra and thought about the life that she was carrying inside of her, the life that they had created together. He was no fool. He knew that the feelings he had for Cassandra were feelings of love, heck, he could even recall telling her that he loved her. More than once, and not only during lovemaking. Dang! Who was he trying to fool anyway? He had know from the very start.
He swallowed and turned his head back to Cassandra. At once a warm feeling of security and serenity hit him; and he knew . . . it felt like the feeling of coming home. With Cassandra he was home. She was the One.
Without knowing what he was doing, the words formed inside of him and flew out of his mouth before he could stop them.
"Cassandra, will you marry me?"
The nurse dropped the probe she was holding, it fell with a small thud down on the bed beside Cassie, and she stared in surprise at Billy, her lips forming a geeky smile. Cassie just blinked and stared at him in chock. She tried to form words in her mouth, but it all ended with her gaping at him. The seconds ticked by awfully slow.
"Please Cassandra, say something." Billy took her flaccid hand in his and gave her a worried look. Did she not feel the same thing he did? The feeling of coming home? What if she did not want to marry him? He closed his eyes for a second and bit back a curse. God, wouldn't that make him feel like a total jackass or what?
A huge smile spread in Cassie's face and she had to bite her lip as to not give out a squeak of joy. She nodded excitedly back at him, and her eyes were sparkling from the happiness she felt.
"Oh yes Billy, I would like that . . . so very much."
She felt herself almost bubble over with happiness as she reached up to caress his cheek softly. She loved him so much and she was so grateful towards him. He had given her what she secretly had wanted the most, what Brad had never wanted to give her . . . a child.
