He closed his eyes slowly and allowed a deep and bitter breath to leave his body. Billy sat on a chair in the kitchen and tried to gather his feelings the best he could, feelings that were scattered all over the place.

Cassandra was really gone. He had turned the darn apartment inside out in his search for her, and she was nowhere to be found.

He could hardly believe it . . . and he felt a bloody headache develop just thinking that forbidden thought.

Because that was just it, damn it . . . He. Could. Not. Believe . It.

Being much too like his old man, Billy was by nature, and of course by heritage, a very suspicious and calculating person, deep down to the very bones in his tall and muscular body.

So naturally, this whole situation just didn't add up to him.

He had come to that conclusion just minutes after he had arrived in here.

First, there was still some food on the kitchen table. And knowing Cassandra, she would rather be caught dead than leave this place in that condition.

Second, all of her clothes were still in her closet. Why leave without any clothes?

And third, the front door to the apartment had been unlocked when he had arrived. And yet again, knowing Cassandra as much as he did now, he knew that she would at least lock the god damn door when leaving.

He opened his eyes and leaned against the table with his elbows, resting his chin in his hands. There was so much about this whole thing that reeked out of pure and undeniable bullshit. Billy snorted and pursed his lips into a thin hard line.

'I would appreciate that you will not come looking for me', Oh yeah Like he would NOT do that. Keep on dreaming.

'you will never find me', You wanna bet?

'Don't even bother' . . . OH REALLY?

He drew his hands through his hair and groaned deep in his throat with trepidation. Well, there was no need to sit here and look gloomy now, was there?

Billy stood up and roamed the kitchen with his eyes, and when that was done he walked through the entire apartment and swept it thoroughly one last time with his scrutinizing gaze.

Anything that would be out of the ordinary could probably help him find her, because find her he would, damn it!

Later that evening Billy walked in a steady pace back and forth in his father's study. He was fiddling with a pen in one hand while the other hand combed through his thick, dark hair with lack of patience. There was no need to be Einstein to realize the man was in agony.

Theo raised his brow in wonder at his son, and he quietly shook his head in amazement, inside he was torn apart seeing him in this much pain.

"So William, what exactly are you suspecting?"

Billy stopped his pacing and he took a stance with his hands on his waist. His eyes still held a glimmer, a spark, even though it was a dangerous and leery one.

"You know when she called, her voice was so fragile and weak, like she was holding back tears, "Billy began as he moved over to sit down next to his father, "I could hear on her voice that she lied, dad. "

"Lied?" Theo said with a small hint of disbelief written all over his face.

Billy's dark eyes sent him a sharp and vicious glare.
