Billy took a quick glance at his watch as he stood in the throng of people at the airport. His plane had landed on time. Thank god for that. Now he just had to get out from here and rent a car to get to his father’s place.

Too bad though that the movement of the crowd of people in front of him was next to non-existent.

He checked his watch again.

If this snail pace would continue, he would barely make it.

His hands felt clammy and he wiped it off on his cut while his eyes panned around the crowd. Silently he cursed his father to a warmer place as he had forced him to endure this.

After what seemed an eternity he finally cleared the door way out from that insanity of people to locate the rental car dealer.

And as he got there the only piece of shit car they had left was a Honda. Billy snorted as he, after signing the papers, got out and finally saw the car.

Jesus Christ!

Would he even fit in the car? It looked like it had been made for a dwarf . . . with no luggage.

He groaned as he opened the door and tossed his bag inside. This was going to be one hell of an awkward drive.

Getting his wife to leave and get out of the house had been the easy part. Theo had just flashed a ticket to New York City for two days in front of her, and she had been out the door.

The dinner part however, had not been that easy.

He looked at the last preparations made by the catering personnel, then he looked at his watch.

It was too much of a close call for his liking.

He could just hope that Cassie and her husband would run a little late. As he walked around the table to give final instructions to the waiters, he could feel Billy’s intense gaze burn at his back.

A smug grin twitched in the corner of Theo’s lips as he thought about his son.

When he had arrived, he had been furious to the point of exploding and the amount of curse words that had flowed from his mouth had been uncountable as he had stomped into the house. Theo knew that he just had to get it out of his system; Billy was too much like himself.

He turned and gave his son a once over. He couldn’t help to feel proud over him. The boy was really dashing in a suit and he was darned handsome too.

“You look good William, “ he said and gave Billy an appreciative nod.

Billy snorted back and shook his head with discontent.

“Damn it dad! You know that I hate to dress up like this, “ he grunted and gave his father a mean glare.” Who are these people anyway, huh?  Given the bloody dress code they have to be Japanese investors, am I right?”

“No, son, “ Theo chuckled, feeling a little bit of mischief rise within him, “No Japanese investors.”

He knew that if he had told William that he will be facing Cassie in just a few minutes, he would not have come.  He could see it in him. He was just like his father. Theo grinned. Like himself.
