"Paul.. I-" I stopped.
"Who are these people, Pandora?" Paul asked. I told him all of their names, but I knew the next question was coming.
"But who are they? How did they get in here? And how did you meet them?"
"They got in here because they're dead, okay?" I got frustrated, so I just told him.
"Very funny," he fake laughed.
"Seriously, look.." I brought up Charles Montgomery's obituary on my phone and showed it to him.
"That's him..." Paul pointed to Charles.
"Yeah. He was the one who built the house, for his wife and son," I pointed to Nora, then the Infantata (Thaddeus).
"No, Pandora.. They might look like them, but here's no way that could be them," he still didn't believe me.
"Could everyone tell their stories of how they died?" I looked at them, and they, one by one, began rambling on about how they died.
"Yeah, Pandora. Go ahead and scare the 'scaredy cat'.. It's not funny, and I'm not scared.."
"You want to make sure I'm a ghost?" Tate stood up from my bed.
"What are you going to do to prove it?" Paul asked.
"This," he said before disappearing.
"Tate?" I looked around.
"Oh my god," Paul ran his hand through where Tate had been standing. I'm guessing he felt nothing, so he did it again.
"Hey! Don't touch me there!" Tate exclaimed, replacing himself where he had been.
"That's so weird.. Wow."
"So do you believe me now?" I asked.
"I guess.. It's just hard to take in," he looked around at everyone.
"I know," I nodded in agreement, "but how about we don't tell mom or dad about everyone? We will just keep it a secret, okay? Between the two of us and all of you," I looked at Paul and then the group of ghosts.
"Okay," they all agreed, and so did Paul.
"Good."
"How will we keep them from our parents? What about Danny?"
"Danny might think it's cool to know," I nodded, "we can tell him."
"Still, what about mom and dad?"
"They have the ability to be invisible at times if they want to, or they can just appear where they want and when they want, right?" I looked at Tate.
"Pretty much, yeah," he nodded.
"It won't be very hard to hide it from them. They might think there are some creepy things about this house, but they won't know it's them," I told Paul. He agreed.
"Okay. But we should tell Danny?" It came out like more of a question from him.
"Yeah, we can tell him. He isn't still here, is he?"
"No, but he just lives down the road, remember?"
"Oh yeah. Okay. We can tell him. Tell him to come over, and that it's really important."
"Okay, I will."
Paul had walked out of the room to get his phone from his room. He came back and texted Danny, telling him to come over.
"He should be over here in a few minutes," he told us all.
"Okay," they were fine with waiting just a little. It was weird staring at a group of people that you knew were dead. It was really creepy if you ask me. They were all just looking around. Some were walking around my room, looking at some things. Others were touching things that I had in my boxes. I didn't like that they were touching my things, but I didn't see any harm in it. They were ghosts!
"Danny said he'd be over in about ten minutes.. He has to finish up doing some things. I'm going to go into my room until he comes okay?" He began to walk out and I nodded.
"Oh! And Paul," I addressed him before he left the room. He walked back in and asked, "yeah?"
"Thaddeus, he's the thing we saw downstairs. They call him the Infantata," I told him. I didn't know if he would get scared or not.
"Okay... Cool," he hesitated, but then smiled at Thaddeus. He fucking smiled...
