Ava looked at the man kneeling in front of her. Feelings of love joy and utter bliss flew through her. How was it possible that this fine specimen of a man that could easily model for the cover of a fashion magazine was asking to marry her? Not only was he incredibly handsome, he was also the wisest, most caring, sophisticated gentleman she had the pleasure of knowing. She wondered if she could give him the highest possible type of love - unconditional love. She wasn't sure but she was more than willing to try. Being taken to the Lapo dimension and spending time with Meldrick was the best thing that ever happened to her. The answer was obvious.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" she cried exhilarated. Meldrick's features softened and he slid on her finger the most exquisite ring she had ever seen. It was made of platinum with ten diamonds decorating a huge sparkling diamond in the middle.
"It's magnificent," cried Ava knowing that these words didn't do the ring any justice.
"I'm glad you like it," winked Meldrick.
"Like it? I love it!" squealed Ava.
She wandered what got over her to accept a marriage proposal only after knowing Meldrick for such a short time. Now she understood what people meant when they said "you just know he's the one." Ava had doubts about marrying Barry. She didn't have that "just know" feeling. Now she realized that when you have to ask yourself if he's really the one, then he isn't. That's what I need to write in my wedding article, she thought.
When she was done admiring the ring from every angle, Meldrick said:
"It's not just a diamond. It has magical properties. Whenever you're wondering about my whereabouts, look into that ring focusing on our love and it will give you my precise location."
"Really?" asked Ava astonished.
"Yes, try it," Meldrick suggested.
Ava thought about how wonderful she felt with this exquisite man by her side and looked into the diamond. She saw Meldrick in her cabin talking to her.
"It's working!" she concluded. "What a thoughtful gift!"
"I love that we're engaged," said Ava. "But I'm sure you do realize that humans usually wait longer than a couple weeks before agreeing to get married."
"Yes, I know," said Meldrick, hie eyes looking lovingly at his bride-to-be. "But I've know you and loved you for years and I've never felt this way about anybody else."
"Me neither," said Ava.
"Now, shall we take a little trip to Earth?" Meldrick asked. "I know your article is due and you might want to bring some of your stuff over. Maybe you could even talk to Chloe about your whereabouts?"
"Chloe? I don't think she'd believe me. But I have to tell her I'm getting married. Maybe I shouldn't mention my future husband is a resident of a different dimension, though."
"I think she could take it," said Meldrick. "She recognized die when I rescued her from Victor. I think her mind is more open than what you're giving her credit for."
"Only one way to find out," winked Ava.

"There's no way we're distributing this to the mass media," roared the CEO of the national space agency to the operator.
"But it's the only way we can save the world from destruction and Earth from enslavement," he pleaded.
"That's not our job," the CEO stated. "Our job is to protect humans from knowledge they're unable to comprehend. Our announcement about the Sydney event blew their minds. They can't take in information like that. Besides, we already have a treaty with beings from another dimension, we've had it for years now and it does not include the Lapo. Be gone!" he roared.
