Meldrick didn't waste time, he was knocking at Ava's cabin door right after breakfast.

"Ava," said Daniela, "it's sir Richglow for you."

Meldrick welcomed Ava with a sparkle in his eyes that was more profound than ever. Ava felt exhilarated that she would be waking up her powers.

"Thank you, Daniela," said Meldrick "we will need some privacy."

Daniela nodded and left without a sound.

After giving Ava a brief kiss Meldrick's demeanor changed from romantic to determined.

"We will start with something simple," he said. He opened his palm, in it was a small golden key. "Hold this key, and try to connect with it."

Ava raised her eyebrows. Meldrick continued, his voice clear, his tone commanding.

"This key carries energy. I use it often, so it carries my energy. You'll hold it in a second but first let's relax." He sat on the floor, gesturing to Ava to do the same.

"Let's take a few deep breaths. Now rub your hands together and feel the energy moving. Do you feel a tingling sensation in your hands?" Meldrick asked.

"I do!" Ava answered excited.

"This is the first step. Now take the key," he dropped it in her hand, "relax some more and take note of how your body feels. Do you feel anything? Do you see anything? Do you hear anything?"

Ava shook her head.

"Don't worry, keep relaxing, feel the energy moving and try to connect with the key. What is it telling you?" Ava closed her eyes, rubbed her hands with the key in them and took a few deep breaths.

"I can see something!" Ava called. "You! I can see you using this key to open a chest of drawers."

"You're a natural," Meldrick laughed. "Now I'm going to hide the key somewhere in your cabin and your task will be to find it without physically looking for it. Close your eyes." Ava could hear Meldrick's footsteps. He was taking his time most probably walking more than needed to hide where he placed the key.

"Now connect with the key again. Think of what it told you earlier. You should feel it pulling you to it."

Ava closed her eyes again, breathing deeply she remembered how she saw Meldrick using the key to open a chest of drawers. She kept silent for a few moments.

"I'm not feeling the key pulling me to it," she said disappointed.

"Don't worry. Imagine your reaction when you find it. Visualize it. Visualize every detail," Meldrick instructed.

Ava closed her eyes again and her body started shifting slightly. Without opening her eyes she stood up and moved towards the bedroom. She lied on the bed. She opened her eyes wondering what that was all about. Then not understanding why, she stretched her hands under her pillow and felt the cool of a metal. She jumped up, lifted the pillow and there it was - Meldrick's golden key.

"You are doing great my love," he said in his deep soothing voice, caressing her cheek. He planted a soft kiss on her lips and used all his mental power not abuse Ava's hospitality in the bedroom.
