"Ava you look like you saw a ghost," said Daniela as Ava entered her cabin.

"Close," said Ava. "Let's not talk about it. Can you draw me a bath, please?"

"It's already done," smiled Daniela.

I love you, thought Ava.

"Thank you," she said.

As Ava relaxed in her bath she thought back about what happened in the harbor. She didn't feel frightened. She felt empowered, she felt like she knew how she could defend the Earth and Lapo. She looked at he magnificent ring and thought about how blessed she was to be Meldrick's bride-to-be. When she focused on it intently she saw that Meldrick too was relaxing in his bathtub. What a fine sight, she thought looking at his hair dancing in every direction. His eyes were sparkling and his moist lips looked particularly enticing in the bathroom setting. She decided to stop peeking and give him some privacy. Ava ran her hand through the pearls on her neck and silently thanked her mother for this rare gift. She was sure that it was its power that saved them back on Earth.

When she felt relaxed and rejuvenated she slipped her bathrobe and proceeded to the majestic closet.

"Pajamas, silk, red, please." She heard the familiar noise of racks moving and after a few moments she was presented with a beautiful scarlet night gown. Perfect, she thought. She buried herself in the luxurious covers and fell asleep listening to the beautiful Aria music.

The following morning she was woken up by a knock on the door. She opened sleepily and welcomed Meldrick standing in front of him still in her scarlet night gown.

"Good morning, my love," Meldrick greeted her. "You look very... enticing."

"You don't look too bad yourself, Mister," laughed Ava. His hair was perfectly groomed, everything about him was impeccable. The sight of her husband-to-be in the bath tub last night flashed in her mind. She struggled to think straight.

"I have quite the treat for you today," said Medlrick with a grin.

"You do?" asked Ava narrowing her eyes.

"Yes," he laughed. "Your aunt Sybilla will be coming over this morning."

"Aunt Sybilla!" gasped Ava and feelings of love and appreciation swept over her.

"It'll be at least an hour before she arrives, in the meantime..." he pulled her chin to his and gently caressed her lips with his. He stroked her hair with one hand and held her tight with the other.

"In the meantime, what?" asked Ava seductively.

"In the meantime," smiled Meldrick, "why don't you get dressed and have some breakfast?"

"Will you be joining me, my love?" she asked.

"You know very well that I can't resist when you ask me this way," said Meldrick.

"I know," Ava smiled wickedly.

"Aunt Sybilla!" cried Ava as soon as she entered her cabin.

Ava didn't know what she should tell her. How could she thank her for sacrificing a comfortable life in Lapo to raise her on Earth? She wondered how she could pay her back and how she could let her know that she was truly grateful for everything she had done.

Ava rushed to her aunt embracing her tightly.

"Thank you," she said. "I didn't know..." she tried to explain everything she felt but nothing came out.

"I know, dear," said aunt Sybilla.

"You could have lived here and enjoyed all the luxury and instead you sacrificed it all to raise me on Earth."

"Ava, it was an honor to raise the only remaining Eff descendant. I couldn't have imagined a more rewarding life."

"I just learnt about the prophecy and my part in it," Ava said looking deep into her aunt's eyes.

"It wasn't the first time you heard about it though, was it?"

Ava tried to go back in time to remember all the stories her aunt would tell her - stories Ava didn't care much about, stories she thought were just a filler of her time. Now she finally connected the dots and realized that her aunt did tell her about the prophecy in one of those stories a long time ago.

"If only I had listened more carefully," Ava sighed.

"You did just fine, dear," comforted her aunt Sybilla. "You are not a natural resident of planet Earth. You had to adjust to new surroundings and to going by without your powers. Have you awakened any of them recently?" asked aunt Sybilla the way only a mother or caregiver could ask.

"You have no idea," said Ava.

"Oh, I think I do, darling girl," replied her aunt. "You know, your mother and I are sisters and even though Oriana had always been the more talented one, I still have my powers, dear."

"That's fantastic!" cried Ava enthusiastically. "Could we practice together before the big battle?" Ava hoped.

"That's why I'm here, darling," said Sybilla, her eyes sparkling with love for her niece.

"I've been practicing with Meldrick, he's a wonderful teacher," boasted Ava.

"And a wonderful man," winked Sybilla.

"Aunt Sybilla!" cried Ava.

"Just saying," said Sybilla.

"When can we start practicing?" asked Ava.

"Is there a better time than now?"
