Waffling through whipping cream

It was ten in the morning by the time I woke up. After doing all the necesseties I was lazily stretched out across the sofa thinking about what to do. I know I had a pile of homework to do and a script to write but I was in no mood to do them. Dad left the house around the time I woke up for some auction and then he said he had some business meeting.

How about a visit to Nat's place?

No.

Why not?

Shut up brain!

But you wouldnt mind would you.

Hmmm. Well its not going to harm any one of us right? Thats it then! I decided I will pay Natalie a visit.

I told the driver the address and he agreed to take me there. I knocked on the door. No answer. I knocked on the door for quite a while until someone finally answered it. Naala.

'Hey Naala.'

'Hey Alvin. What do you want?'

'Is Natalie home?'

'Yeah. But our parents are not.'

Hmmm. Maybe I can prank on Natalie.

'May I come in?'

'Sure.'

She opned the door wide enough to let me in. I signalled for the driver to leave. I had told him earlier onwards that I will call him if I need him.

'She's in the kitchen' Naala said as she flopped onto the sofa and resumed watching her cartoon.

As I entered the kitchen I heard Natalie, in her pikachu pyjamas, singing her made up song I guess.

'Am making waffles todaaaay because my mama is awaaay. And am all alone with my bratty sister. No one's home except me and her.'

'Wrong.' I said.

She turned around to see me. Her eyes went wide. She then had that dazed look on her face. She usually had that look when she was off to her dream land. I smiled.

'What?' she asked.

'You look adorable.'

She blushed and I could see that she was flustered.

'Idiot.' she replied.

'What?! No thank you for that comment?' I pretended to be offended.

'Why should I thank you!' she retorted.

'Because I complimented you.'

'So?'

'So the nicest thing to do is say thank you.'

'You are practically demanding me to say thank you.' she was annoyed. I could tell.

'Because you are not polite enough to say that so am teaching you to do that.'

'So?'

'So you have to say thank you!' niw she is annoying me.

'So?' she repeated.

'So... Urgh!!!'

She began to laugh.

'Oh great.' Alvin muttered.

Thank God that she didn't laugh hysterically like she did last time. I dont know what I would have done if she laughed like that again.

'So what are you doing at my house on an early Saturday morning?' she asked.as she went back to making waffles.
