Chapter 34:

That weekend the kids went over to Wendy's sister's house. Wendy and I will be spending the whole day together.

When she wakes up she sees me looking at her. She smiles and I smile back. I say, " Good morning the most amazing woman I know."

" Morning baby girl." We kiss before she lays in my arms. We just lay there for a minute.

We then get up and go watch tv. She puts on friends and we start laughing at something Joe says.

Joe is my favorite while Rachael is her's. Wendy always picks out the best shows and movies for us to watch.

That Sunday when the kids get home we decide to play hide and seek. Wendy and I will be it. We start to count to twenty. I count one and then she counts two. We keep going like that until we get to twenty. We say, " Ready or not here we come."

We go and check the bathrooms but they aren't in there. We go to Lucy's room and find Reese. I say, " Buddy do you know where everyone else went?"

" No but I will help you find them."

Wendy and I nod. We all three go looking for the other two. We find lucy in my old room under the bed. We still don't find Dylen. I say, " Lucy where is Dylen?"

Reese says, " You have to find him. Let me know when you give up."

We go look everywhere. We can't find him. I say, " Where is Dylen."

Reese runs into the laundry room. He points to the basket but Dylen isn't there. He says, " I put him right there I promise."

Wendy says, " Lucy do you know where he is?"

" No I don't."

Wendy and I start freaking out. We run everywhere in the house. Wendy is about to call the cops but Dylen runs up naked.

I pick him up and hold him close. I say, " Oh no he took off his diaper."

Wendy says, " Don't worry that just means he is ready to be potty trained."

I smile and say, " Our little man is growing up."

She nods and kisses us. I say, " I have never been so freaked out when we couldn't find him."

" I know it was scary but he is safe."

I nod.

Later on Lily stops by. She ask if we can talk and I nod. We go up to Wendy's and my room. She says, " So Tammy knows you and her mom are back together. She doesn't know how to feel. She won't do anything like last time. She just probably won't be coming around anymore. She asked me to come tell you to take care of her family. Christmas will be hard this year without her."

I nod. I say, " Thank you for coming. I'm sorry that you have been in the middle of this all."

" It's ok I don't mind. I would do anything for Tammy."

" Just like I would for Wendy."

She nods and then gives me a hug before leaving.

That night while Wendy is laying in bed I grab my guitar. I start singing a song for her,

We kiss. I put my guitar down before cuddling with her.

She says, " I am so happy that we are back to how we used to be."

" Even if that means losing one of your kids?" I mumble but she hears me.

She says, " Huh?"

" Lily came by to tell me that Tammy knows about us. She says that she probably wont be around anymore."

" Well she is an adult and can handle herself. If she doesn't want me happy then I can't help that. I'm not going to leave you to make her happy."

I kiss her and she kisses me back.
