I couldn't believe it. August Anthony Alsina. My long lost bestfriend. He looked some beautiful. His strong jawline, brown eyes, he had got taller and bigger, but everything was the same. Oh, and he let his hair grown out. That thought came back to me. I was hideous, and he saw it. I turned my face away from him, and became embarrassed. "Leave." I said. He looked at me confused. "W-what?" He spoke looking into my eyes. I closed them and said, "Get out." He came closer to me and tried to speak, but I didn't wanna hear it. "Please." I said feeling my eyes water. I couldn't let him see me like this. I didn't want him to see me like this. "Bella, I ain't goin' no where." He said with his thick New Orleans accent. He looked in my eyes, and I felt as if he was reading me. "Your so beautiful." He said.

I woke up screaming. I was afraid. He was here again. Why wouldn't he leave me alone! Why do I kept having dreams about this. I was so scared, I was crying puddles. I saw the lights come on, and dim down. My eyes met with August. What was he still doing here ? He walked over to me and I put my hands over my face bitting my lip.I felt his arms wrap around my body. He was so gentle. He hugged me and didn't let me go.

--
I woke up to the smell of breakfast, but I didn't see August. I couldn't walk we'll being that my legs were wrapped up in cast since they were so terrible bruised. I slowly put them over and pushed my body up the best way I could. I grabbed my crutches nearby and used all the strength I had to pull myself up. I couldn't do it. I fell to the floor. I was so weak. I climbed back into bed, and sat there.

"Good morning" I heard mamas sweet voice."M-morning Mama." I told her. "How ya' feeling baby?" She asked me ruffling my curls. "Better...just tired." I told her. "Baby your gone be alright." She said. I smiled at her and nodded my head. I wasn't gonna be alright."Mama where's August ?" I asked with curiosity. "Oh, Baby he left a little while ago before you woke up." I replied with a simple nod. "I can't believe after these few years, he looks just like that same little boy from years ago." She replied smiling. "We'll baby, momma has to run a few errands. Do you think you'll be okay here alone?" She asked me. "Yeah momma, can you just hand me my crutches?" I told her. She handed me my crutches, and I sat them nearby. She kissed my cheek and told me she would be back later.

He hadn't spoke one word to me. It's like he didn't know what to say. We had been sitting in front of each other for atleast an hour. Neither of us had spoke. "Why ya' leave?" He asked me. I was totally caught off guard by his question. "W- what." I said. I knew exactly what he was talking about. "Arabella ansa' me." He said balling his fist up, shaking his head. I bit my lip, trying my best not to cry. "A-august I wanted to tell you but I never found the time." I told his feeling my eyes began to water. "Don't tell me that!" He yelled causing me to jump. "I-I was looking for you the day we left, but I couldn't find you." I said now crying. "Ya' not answerin' ma' question Arabella. I asked you, why didn't you tell me?" He said grabbing his hair. Looking at me with red eyes. "D-daddy had left. I don't know if he went to prison, or what but he was gone. I didn't wanna leave August. I tried looking for you but I couldn't find you. I begged mama to let us stay, but she said s-she had to keep me safe." I said crying. He looked at me, and dropped his head. "Ya' still coulda' told meh' Arabella!" He shouted. "I-I'm sorry August, I'm so sorry." I said crying. I felt my bed dip, and watched him. He kicked his shoes off, and climbed into bed with me. He rubbed his thumb across my smooth  milk chocolate face, and looked in my eyes. "I missed ya' so Bella" he said gently wrapping his around my waist. I looked back at him and said, "I missed you more August."

I woke up to messy curls in my face. I giggled causes they touched my nose, tickling it just a little. I played in his curly hair, and watched him twist and turn. He was so handsome. Just like back in the old days. He was my August. "Fuck ya' doin?" He spoke in a raspy voice, followed by a laugh. "I-I was just playing with your hair." I told him. Watching him look at me. I was so curious. After all these years, what had he been doing? "August, what have you been doing these last few years?" I asked. He looked at me, and smiled rubbing my arms. "Music baybeh." He said. Music? When he said that, my smile grew wider. August could always sings, he sounded like an angel. "Wow. I'm proud of you August." I told him. He hugged my waist more and smiled at me. "Thank ya' baybeh." I knew he had a few albums out there in the world, he had to. He had an amazing talent. He unwrapped his arms from around my waist, and got up from bed. He ruffled his hair, and put his shoes on. "W-where are you going?" I asked him. I didn't want him to leave. "The studio ma'."he said smiling at me. "I-I wanna go." I told him. He looked at me, and bit his lips.

We had just made our way to the studio. We drove all the way there in silence. Not a awkward a silence, but a comfortable silence. Every now and then, we would look at each other and giggle. I had on nothing but a plain white T, a leather jacket, and blue jeans with black flats on. It took me a while to get dressed, but I did it. I made sure before I left, to call mama and let her know where I was going. August had carried me everywhere I couldn't move to. He looked over at me, and cut off the engine. He walked over to my side of his vehicle and undid my seatbelt. He lifted me up, and carried me to the inside of the studio. It was really nice. It had pretty shiny, wooden floors, and a few mirrors. August sat me down in a black, leather rolly chair. "August t-this is so nice."I said in amaze. "Thank ya' Bella." He said. I watched him as he once again ruffled his curls. He walked over to the section where there were a bunch of keys. He played with some and adjusted them to were he wanted them. He looked at me and smiled. He cut on his black apple laptop, and a beat began to play. He walked I to the booth and sat on the small stood, placing a pair of black headsets into his ears. He licked his lips, and began to sing

No one told me life would be this way!
I swear nobody told me
Guess this is the game we chose to play
Crazy how it's always been the same!
People dying every day, that ain't nothing new
When you from downtown, downtown!
Out here tryna make a way
I won't let these niggas take me down-down, down!
(So I ride)
Riding on these niggas, I be riding, I be riding on 'em
Riding on these niggas, I be riding, I be riding on 'em
(So I ride)
Riding on these niggas, I be riding, I be riding on 'em
Riding on these niggas, I be riding, I be riding on 'em

I felt my eyes water. It was perfect. He sung with so much passion, and his description was so amazing. He made me miss my city, I missed my city. Some of the lines reminded me of Melly. I missed him. I pretty sure August did also. He looked at me, and came out of the booth. "Crybaby ass" he said laughing at me. I looked at him and started laughing. "Shutup, no I'm not." I told him. "I got a few mo' things I gotta do hea' an' afta' I wanna take ya' out." he said looking at me grabbing a bottle of Dasani water from the mini fridge. "August I can barely walk." I told him giggling. "I can carry you just like I've been doing." he told me grabbing my hand. "August I don't want you carrying me around like some Queen." I told him. "Bella shutup, I'm taking you out tonight, you are a Queen." he told me smirking and bitting his lip making his way back inside the studio booth.

August had dropped me off not too long ago. He went home to get dressed and freshen up. He told me he would be back in an hour or two to take me out to dinner, or whatever he wanted to do. He told me to dress comfortable. I braided my hair into 4 braids and decided to wear a black and white striped shirt with a pair of dark jeans and black flats. I grabbed my crutches and made my way upstairs so that I could check and see if August had message me or anything. Once I made it to my room, I had a message from August saying be ready in 20 Bella. I also had a missed call from momma. I clicked on her name, and listened to the ringing until she answered. "Hey mommy, I'm sorry I couldn't get the phone I was downstairs." I told her. "Oh it's alright baby." she told me. I could hear get coughing in the background. "You alright momma?" I asked in a worried tone. "I'm fine baby, what You for planned for tonight ?" she asked. I felt a kool-aid smile coming along. "August is taking me out to dinner tonight momma. He should be here in a few minutes " I told her. "Oh my goodness, Baby you gotta get dressed. Call me tomorrow. Love you." I didn't even have the chance to say I love you too. I grabbed my clothes, and began to change into them. I looked really nice, I hope I did. I added a pair of gold hoop earings. I heard a small song coming from downstairs. He was here. I grabbed my crutches and made my way downstairs as quickly as possible. I slowly opened my door, and there he stood. He was wearing all black. He looked so nice. "Ya' look beautiful." he told me showing his perly whites to me. "So do you August." I told him. "I hope ya' on hate me fa' this, but I kinda have a change of plans 's' us. Ha' bout we jus' wear jammies an' chill at ma' place. Just me an' you." he told me. "I'd love that." I replied.
